Announcing our Friday night headliner at Peddler Warehouse - Quantic 🪩

Under the Quantic banner, Will Holland’s endeavours as a songwriter, musician, producer and sound engineer run deep. From focused solo productions and intimate collaborations to expansive ensemble projects, his reputation is forged on how he engages with local scenes and cultures around the world 🌍

Across his 20-years-deep discography it might be honey-coated synths or the natural lilt of live instrumentation that catch your ear, maybe even the arresting performance of a vocalist, but whatever the style on any given record, the Quantic stamp stands for soul-enriching sounds.

As a lifelong musical explorer, Holland has dug for records, jammed with artists and developed projects on every continent while developing his own soul-charged sound. He’s presented unheard wonders from Ethiopia and diligently compiled the extensively researched The Original Sound Of Cumbia.

The earliest Quantic releases embody the downtempo boom of the early 00s – all fuzzy jazz licks and dusty hip-hop beats. He expanded his horizons with The Quantic Soul Orchestra – a celebrated stage and studio project which brought a vibrant ensemble of players together to render his innately funky music in the vivid tones of live instrumentation. 🎻

We are thrilled to host Quantic for Peddler’s 13th Birthday after years of trying for the right moment to bring him to La Rumba for almost a decade.

He’ll be performing on Friday 21:00 - 23:00 after Yarni Ensemble (live) and a DJ set from ourselves we’re planning to kick off your evening ♨️

Announcing our Saturday night headliner at Peddler Warehouse - TC & The Groove Family! 🚨

TC & The Groove Family are a 9-piece collective whose music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the unity that music can provide for everyone. Their sound reflects the diverse musical and cultural backgrounds at the core of the project, exploring grooves and genres including afrobeat, broken beat, jungle, jazz and grime. Driven by drummer Tim Cook (TC), fronted by Sheffield wordsmith Franz Von, and powered by an engine room complete with horns, percussion, guitars and bass, their live shows are impactful and dynamic, creating moments of euphoria and stillness to keep audiences on their toes.

The band have sold out iconic venues including Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club and London’s Jazz Café, and appeared at major UK festivals including Glastonbury, We Out Here, Greenman, Shambala, Boomtown and WOMAD. The have also been invited to support the likes of Vieux Farka Touré, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, K.O.G, Nubiyan Twist and Yussef Dayes en route to becoming one of the most sought after live acts on the UK jazz circuit.

Just over a week to go until our October Peddler weekender and we’re excited to pull this one out of the memory book from earlier this year with Yarni Ensemble at Foundry 🎺

The new multi-instrumentalist group project from Yarni | Music Maker brings together some of Sheffield’s best musicians who’ll be joining us on Friday 02 October at 19:00 before Quantic.

Introducing ámba ahead of Peddler’s 13th birthday next week!

Welcome ámba, Sheffield’s newest 7-Piece Latin/Jazz/Funk fusion collective!

Expect original music infused with smooth Bossa Nova, Afro-Cuban, Flamenco & bouncy Jazz Fusion grooves.

They’ll be performing Saturday afternoon alongside Kilario, Montuno, Malah Palinka before TC & The Groove Family 🎷

On 3rd October we’ll be joined by the incredibly talented TC & The Groove Family to celebrate 13 year of Peddler Warehouse in Sheffield alongside Quantic, Yarni Ensemble, Kilario, Montuno and more - all free entry across 5 stages all weekend.

Get ready for a stunning performance of ultra-tight musicianship from the UK jazz outfit with Sheffield’s Franz Von performing with the band for the occasion.

They explore grooves and genres from the UK and around the world, including afrobeat, breakbeat, jungle and highlife. Having gained a reputation in Leeds for a raucous live show bursting with raw energy, the band have played alongside afro-fusion legends K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade and London jazzers Pyjaen and Cykada at shows in Sheffield, Bristol and London.

Less than 2 weeks to go until Peddler celebrate their 13th birthday with Quantic x TC & The Groove Family co-headlining the weekend alongside a whole range of wonderful Sheffield talent on the live stage and behind the decks ✨

Quantic, aka Will Holland, is a British born Musician, Producer & DJ making Electronic, Latin, Jazz and Soul Music saturated in soundwaves from across the world 🌍

Now based in London after recent years along the Colombian Pacific Coast, Holland has developed a sound that bridges heritage and progression, marrying spontaneous musicianship with deep, exciting selections as a DJ.

Saturday night sees TC & The Groove Family return to Peddler Warehouse after touring the world over since their Sheffield debut with La Rumba back in 2021. 🎷

The electric 10-piece collective’s music celebrates the coming together of cultures, and the unity that music can provide for everyone. They explore grooves and genres from the UK and around the world, including afrobeat, breakbeat, jungle and highlife. Having gained a reputation in Leeds for a raucous live show bursting with raw energy, the band have played alongside afro-fusion legends K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade and London jazzers Pyjaen and Cykada at shows in Sheffield, Bristol and London.

To complete the lineup over 2 days, we have an eclectic range of live artists and DJs showcasing some of the best that Sheffield has to offer in Peddler’s Warehouse and Courtyard, alongside the venue’s 3 other stages hosting a range of entertainment, tasty food stalls and traders (so many we can’t type them all out in this post!)

Entry is free all weekend, however we strongly recommend arriving before 19:00 to guarantee entry for Quantic and TC & The Groove Family each day due to limited capacity in Peddler Warehouse.

Another 10/10 weekend at We Out Here Festival 💜 we can’t shout out this lovely festival enough, every year feels like a hard reset to recharge, reconnect with familiar faces, and be reinspired by new music & artists from around the world 🌎

From salsa in Love Dancin’ to making some plants sing with Auntie Flo / Brian d’Souza at we were blown away by Peven Everett, one of our musical heroes Kenny Dope, Glenn Underground and the incredible range of Latin artists this year - Rogé Cosmo Sofi Coco María and more 🇧🇷 🇺🇾 🇲🇽

Big love to the WOH crew and Near Mint for having us back each year, see you at the next one ❤️
