Hednesford Hills Raceway

Hednesford Hills Raceway Stock Car, Hot Rod & Banger Racing at Staffordshire's legendary venue. Extreme family entertainment! Admission Prices
Prices vary for different types of events.

Hednesford Hills Raceway has over 50 years of motorsport history and is the fastest quarter-mile oval in Europe, with the speeds many cars achieve around its fearsome steeply banked turns really having to be seen to be believed! Since the 1950's Hednesford has provided stunning racing and great entertainment from Stock Cars, Hot Rods and Bangers in equal measure with a huge variety of other attrac

tions in between. Some of the biggest events in the sport of short oval racing take place at the venue, with the annual Bill Morris Veterans Day and Civil War seeing huge grids of cars raced to destruction, while the sky is lit up every Bonfire weekend with one of the Midlands’ biggest firework displays. One of the most spectacular events of the year is the annual National Championship Weekend at the beginning of August each year, whilst the annual Caravan Grand Prix on May Day Bank Holiday Monday always supplies the huge Bank Holiday crowd some incredible, not to be missed action. The circuit was built in 1952 utilising the site of a former reservoir. The track is a full quarter mile length oval, with two banked corners, and a tarmac track surface surrounded by an armco safety fence. With the track built at the base of the reservoir, it has the advantage of being at the bottom of a large "bowl" and means that viewing is superb all around the track from its grass banks and two covered grandstands, and there are excellent facilities to ensure a great day out for all the family. The track is situated high on Cannock Chase just one mile from the town of Hednesford in Staffordshire, and is easily accessible from the M6, M6 Toll and A5. The Man of the Midlands Championship main event takes place at Hednesford Hills Raceway on Sunday 2nd November.

The four qualifying rounds are now complete and the points chart is now available here:- https://spedeworth.co.uk/news2.php?id=4476 #:~:text=Click%20Here%20To%20View%20The%20Points%20Chart

But the chance for qualifying is not over yet!

At Hednesford no attendance points will be awarded for this event however, a last chance race will be run with the points available 10 down to 1 for the 1st 10 finishers.

So, if you are not above the qualifiers line in the points yet you get another chance to score and get in or of course if you are above the line and want to progress further up the grid you can also race the last chance.

The Man of the Midlands Championship race will be gridded based on overall qualifying points with the top 40 drivers being eligible for the race itself plus 2 drivers from the last chance race. In the event of a draw on points an out of the hat draw will determine final grid positions for drivers on equal points only.

Bookings will open at 10am on Monday 20th October 2025 via the online booking system or by calling 01252 322920. Bookings will be taken on a first come, first serves basis. Be aware that being above the purple line on the points chart does NOT guarantee you a booking! You MUST book-in like normal.

See you there!

🚧To allow HS2 teams to safely complete a viaduct installation, closures will be in place on the M6 this weekend:

🔷M6 in both directions between junctions 4 and 4a
🔷M42 junction 7a (northbound) to M6 southbound link road

🕒The closure will be in place from 3am on Saturday 27 September until 10pm on Sunday 28 September 2025.

🗺A clearly signed diversion route will be in place so you’ll still be able to get to where you need to go, but we recommend you plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys.

HEDNESFORD HILLS ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON!

It’s a packed afternoon of racing action at Hednesford Hills on Sunday as the Cash or Card event comes to the venue. Standby for almost plenty of MOT failures to take to the track over a packed afternoon of on-track racing, with a night out for the whole family like no other…

The 1600cc formula always come out in big numbers, and Sunday is set to be no different. So, what is Cash or Card? The winner of the final will have a choice of either a World Final grid spot at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich later in the year or take a chance on winning a cash prize!

With such a large entry, it’s going to be a fast and frantic event on the tarmac - there’s no better place to be on a September Sunday…

Racing also comes from the 2.0 Hot Rods. High speed racing, wheelarch-to-wheelarch battles and breathtaking action… Known around the Raceways as "2 Litres", they are one of the most competitive on the Spedeworth/Incarace circus: often resulting in sensational Hot Rod racing as these spaceframe hatchback cars' engines roar as they frantically race around the track.

Hednesford Hills Raceway is one of the most loved circuits in the UK when it comes to Stock Car, Hot Rod and Banger racing; and has over 60 years of motorsport history, with the speeds many cars achieve around its fearsome banked turns really having to be seen to be believed!

There really is nothing like an afternoon at the Raceway, standby for high-octane, thrill-packed racing from different classes of racing - with something for the whole family. Bring the kids - and big kids - for extreme entertainment like nothing else.

Get up-close-and-personal and see the whole track in front of you, meaning you can follow your favourite driver as they frantically race around the tarmac oval.
