5 years on... Life has changed so much. I’m now a yoga teacher, something I hadn’t planned on when I first started my training. Initially, I was just looking to deepen my own practice and understanding, with no intention of teaching. Little did I know, that training would become the start of a journey of self-discovery and transformation.
Like most of us, I’ve had my share of challenges – habits, heartaches, and overwhelming experiences – but yoga has taught me to slow down and reflect. It’s not about the physical changes; it’s about the mental shifts, the clarity, and the self-compassion.
My work in events was challenging and demanding, and though I loved the creative and joyful aspects, I’ve learned to choose a path with less responsibility and more space for my own well-being. Yoga has played a huge part in that shift, helping me focus on what truly nourishes me.
These photos were taken during lockdown, a time when I was living alone, trying to make the best of an unexpected situation. I had taped my phone to a tripod, dancing around my house on a time limit, searching for the best light for my . It was in my bathroom where the magic happened, reminding me that sometimes, beauty and connection emerge from the most unlikely moments.
I love looking at photographs – they hold a mirror to our memories, allowing us to reflect on how far we’ve come. Reflection and growth often come from revisiting where we’ve been.
