We are sharing the following message from the organisers of Kernow Jamboree who are currently utilising Stithians Showground. This is advance warning of a planned firework display for local residents:

Dear resident

We are writing to let you know that on Friday 1st August to close our Scout Jamboree, there will be a firework display at the showground. The fireworks are scheduled for 10:30pm and will last approximately 15 minutes.
We understand that the sound and light from the fireworks may cause some disruption, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may bring. We kindly advise you to take any necessary precautions for yourself, your household, and your pets during this time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The showground is home to Kernow Jamboree 25 over the next week.

This time last week it was Stithians Show 2025 day.

Here's a flashback to a week ago and Will Keating leading a large main stage crowd in a sing-a-long rendition of that Cornish favourite tune; Cornwall My Home.

Watch til the end for a proper Oggy Oggy Oggy to round things off in true Cornish style. Proper job.

Exactly 10 months to go until the Fisherman's Friends Festival takes place here at Stithians Showground next May.

The line-up includes Jools Holland, Seth Lakeman, Kernow King, The Longest Johns, Porthleven Town Band, Sharon Shannon, Kate Rusby, The Oggymen and, of course, the Fisherman's Friends themselves.
