This time last week our jaws were well and truly dropping at Saltburn Theatre as we thrilled to a stunning show from the manificent Stipe: REM Tribute Band

The acoustic first half was so pin-drop perfect it left you wishing that that would be the format for the full night. But then they rocked out in Part #2 with the likes of End of the World, Losing My Religion and the Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite and it was every bit as good.

The full night was peppered with deep cuts and rarities - great to see great musicians who clearly love the original songs so much and are willing to challenge themselves constantly to re-invent what they do.

Delighted to say that we'll soon have two new Stipe shows on sale for next year, including a return to Saltburn next autumn.

Two chances to catch the mighty Absolute Bowie Band on Teesside in the coming months. Five months between them... we recommend you do both 😉

First up, one of our absolute favourite gig venues - HARTLEPOOL Town Hall Theatre on Friday 9 October. Only 6 weeks to go and selling fast so don't leave it too late. Creative Hartlepool.

Then the band make a triumphant return to ARC Stockton Arts Centre in February after pretty much selling it out last time around.

Discarded Stipe: REM Tribute Band setlist, discovered when tidying up this morning - an absolute blinder of a show in Saltburn last night.

Fantastic crowd too - thanks to everyone who helped sell it out weeks in advance. Bet you’re glad you got a ticket!

Heading off for a few days, but will have Francis' photos to share when we're back- watch this space.
