Some couples are just fun to be around — Amy and Chris are exactly that. 😄🥂

They celebrated their elopement with us alongside their Jack Russell, Meg, and honestly, the whole day was full of laughter from start to finish. Genuine moments, plenty of energy, and a couple who clearly just love being with each other. 🐾🤍

Amy looked stunning thanks to Cathy at Pearl & Rouge, and guests were treated to a wonderful afternoon tea by Justine Wood.

They even summed it up perfectly in a thank you to their photographer afterwards: "We had a ridiculous amount of fun... we really did have the best day!" 🥹

Throwback Thursday 🕰️🖤 — Emily & Dom, March 2025

Not every elopement looks the same, and we love that. Emily and Dom brought a completely different energy to Millbrook back in March — moody, editorial, full of character. Think dried flower buttonholes, an off-the-shoulder gown with visible ink, and portraits that feel more like art than your typical wedding photo. 🌿🖤

Getting ready in Mr Benns, quiet moments by the lake with the blossom just starting to come out, and a magical detour to our woodland BBQ hut tucked away in the trees — every corner of the estate gave them something different to work with.

Proof that "elopement" doesn't mean one look or one style. Whatever you're picturing for your day, we can probably make it happen. ✨

A secret elopement, a handmade dress and one very dapper corgi 🐾🤍

Jen and Simon eloped with us back in July — and kept it a complete secret from everyone. They made their promises to each other here in Devon, then headed home almost two weeks later to share the news with their nearest and dearest, happy tears and all. 🥹

Oh, and Jen made her own wedding dress. Yes, really. Ridiculously talented. 😍

They brought along Keith, their tri-coloured corgi, who we may or may not have tried to keep for ourselves. 🐶💛

This is exactly what we love about elopements — no big reveal, no pressure, just doing it your way and telling people in your own time.

❤️ Friday 23rd October — Arrive & stay in Corncott or Rose Cottage for 3 nights, wedding on Saturday 24th October
❤️ Monday 26th October — Arrive & stay in The Loft for 4 nights, wedding on Wednesday 28th October

Throwback Thursday 🕰️💛 — Leah & Jono, one year on

A year ago this month, Leah and Jono eloped with us at Millbrook, along with their two-year-old son Hector and a story we still think about. Leah brought along a photograph of her great-grandparents — over 180 years old — and recreated it with Jono in the most beautiful vintage styling. Goosebumps stuff. 🤍📸

They stayed in Rose Cottage, wandered our gardens for quiet, joyful photos, and Hector had the time of his life feeding the alpacas — before treating everyone to an impromptu singing performance into a garden lamp. 🎤😂🦙

Real, unscripted, completely them — exactly what an elopement should be.
