There’s something quietly special about arriving at a wedding that begins at home. Gates opening, gravel underfoot, a marquee waiting just beyond the garden. It feels relaxed, generous, and exactly where everyone’s meant to be.

The best weddings don’t rush. They unfold over days; a welcome drink that turns into dinner, a wedding day that lingers, quiet mornings after with coffee and stories from the night before.

Ashley and Leigh chose to host their UK and American family together at Hinwick House over 3 days, starting with a clay pigeon shoot and welcome barbeque, which then unfolded on Saturday into a heartfelt church service at their Oxford college and a champagne drinks reception. On Sunday their family wound down, and enjoyed Hinwick House’s grounds over breakfast before travelling home.
