Some veeeeery late summer beauties for Abbie and Jake

This super fun couple used my new floral menu to order flowers for every guest at their intimate wedding celebration:

🌸 bridal bouquet
🌸 boutonnieres for all the men
🌸 wrist corsages for the mums
🌸 wax flower posies for the girls

Such a lovely way to include everyone!

It was only slightly terrifying delivering their flowers in the middle of a storm and heavy fog, but I made it and felt so welcomed in by all the guests.

🧡 HELLO SEPTEMBER! 🧡

We’re into the …ber months and I for one am here for it!! 🎃🍂🍁

I’ve been quiet on social media over the summer holidays, trying to soak everything up before my son goes to school and working hard at the juggle.

There are some changes afoot for Wild Poppy Blooms, I’ve taken the decision to scale back on the size of my weddings a bit, focusing on intimate celebrations that are still big on style and personality. I’ve got a new website launching soon which I can’t wait for!

Very excitingly I’m also adding wedding stationary to my creative offering, starting with semi custom suites but also very open to chatting about Bespoke suites too.

I’ll share more details very soon!!

🍓I’m having a little strawberry moment 🍓

One of my favourite plants in the garden, I love their leaf shape, the endlessly cheery little white flowers and of course the strawberry itself.

I’m hankering after a brief that will allow me to use strawberry plants, just putting this sketch out there in the hope the universe will provide!

💫 Inspiration 💫

Some nature inspiration from a recent visit to Woodchester. Being in nature and away from lots of screens and the temptation to doom scroll makes me feel so much happier and connected to the world.

It’s time to say it…I’m not the florist for you if you want all white 🤍

In the right hands white and very pale neutrals can look amazing, but it’s just not for me.

Colour palettes I LOVE:

🌈 springtime pastels: lilac, delicate shades of pinks and peach, pops of blue

🌈 Italian sunset: soft pinks, oranges, blues and yellow with bright accents

🌈 creamy yellow and tonal blues

🌈 summer sherbert: frothy white with abundant pops of pinks, peach and tangerine

🌈 ALL THE PINK (with or without a splash of red or white)

🌈 PSL: muted toffee, terracotta, burgundy, vintage pink and creamy coffee

🌈 Full goth barbie: velvety purple, red and pink

The list goes on and on and on….but for traditional white I don’t think I’m your gal.

I’m not saying this to be controversial or to but down anyone’s vision. We’re all individuals and your wedding vendors should get you and be as excited as you are for your floral dreams. So I’m laying my cards on the table!!

Exciting News!

I’ve launched another floral offering to go alongside my full design service!

I really wanted to offer playful, whimsical florals to couples who don’t need installations built on site and therefore perhaps don’t meet the usual minimum spend.

The idea is you can choose from the menu, we’ll have a chat around your vision and the vibe of your day and I’ll design your florals to celebrate your individual style. You can then either collect your florals from my studio near Stroud in Gloucestershire, or I can deliver and set up for you.
