⚽️ CHANCE TO MAKE HISTORY ⚽️

Saturday afternoon our 1st Team Men’s get the chance to make Borough history.

We make the travel to Stoke-on-Trent to play Foley Meir in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Vase 🏆 Foley Meir FC

Having just missed out last season losing 2 - 1 at Alsager Town who are actually in the same League as Foley Meir, we get another opportunity at it early on this season.

Foley Meir currently play in the North West Counties League Division One South, same Step as us.

They have also Won 1 and Lost 2 in their opening fixtures this season so this will be a big game for both as we look to bounce back from a tough defeat against Wantage.

For anyone making the long journey, we appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you pitchside. Help get these lads over the line and be a massive part of Borough history 💙

⚽️ UNCHARACTERISTIC PERFORMANCE ⚽️

A brutal one to take and a scoreline that shouldn’t happen at any level for our Men’s 1st Team.

We went 1 - 0 up 25 minutes in through a Scott Loader header on the back post from a Raheem Spencer cross.

Wantage equalised 4 minutes later and put another 2 away before half time. One of them questionable as to whether it was over the line or not but the goal was given.

2nd Half and it was a performance that left a lot to be desired.

We thank those supporters that made the 160 mile round trip and we apologise for that one today 💙

We can make the biggest bounce back next weekend as we travel to Stoke-on-Trent to face Foley Meir in the 1st Qualifying Round of the FA Vase 🏆
