Last month I spent a few hours with Erin and John as they travelled from the Deep South of the USA to Scotland to elope at Melville Castle. Having left behind the heat and humidity of home, they were more than happy to embrace Scotland's green landscapes and slightly damp weather for the day.

After their ceremony, we headed down to the river to toss an Elphin Stone, adding a Scottish touch to their celebrations. We then made the most of the castle grounds, capturing both photos and video as they explored the estate as newlyweds.

Melville Castle is a fantastic setting for an elopement, with plenty of character and beautiful surroundings without having to travel far. Erin and John were great company, and it was a pleasure to document such a relaxed and personal wedding day.

It was also lovely to work alongside Ryan and Lina from Ryan White Photography once again. Always a good team to spend a wedding day with.

My first time at Megginch Castle and hopefully not the last.

A brilliant day filming Sarah & Harvey’s wedding at one of Scotland’s most impressive venues. The castle and grounds are incredible, but what really stood out was the welcome from owners Giles and Catherine, who made everyone feel right at home.

It was also a pleasure working alongside wedding planner Jan, who kept everything running smoothly throughout the day, and lovely to work with Ali again — we always seem to have a good laugh while getting the job done.

Thanks to Sarah & Harvey for having me along to capture the day. Looking forward to sharing more from this one soon.

Finally I got the chance to film some drone footage of last month while filming the elopement of Erin & John.

The weather was a bit damp and I had to choose my moments between the rain but I think we can all agree that if it wasn't foe the rain in Scotland , the landscape would look far less impressive!
