This week's Maker Spotlight is the wonderful LilyBee, a wellness and skincare brand founded by former NICU nurse Katy. Read about them below >>>

Our mission is to empower people to overcome the daily challenges of life using products which are natural and offer an alternative to synthetic ingredients

I’m Katy Kennedy, the company’s founder and product creator. I was a NICU nurse for 36 years and I absolutely loved my job, but I started to experience in my later 40s the struggle with menopause symptoms. Sleeplessness, achy joints and overall low energy. After trying the hormone replacement therapy and antidepressants which did not work for me, I decided to research and experiment with magnesium supplements, essential oils and marine elements to help me recover

The Magnesium and essential oils made a huge difference to my capacity to sleep and relax, thereby making me so much more energised and able to cope with the challenges the daytime brought. I found that as humans we are all lacking in basic minerals and elements that if replaced properly can have an amazing effect on our overall wellbeing. Not just for Menopausal women but for everyone

Magnesium in particular is needed for a whole host of daily cellular functions that keep our bodies working effectively. With my products, I want to contribute to your wellness journey and offer you the best of nature through products that not only nurture your skin, but improve your overall wellbeing

Our next maker spotlights features a maker who has been with us from the beginning,

Rhona is a very talented mosaic artist and creates unique art and objects using ceramics, glass and recycled china

You can find Rhona at our artisan market on Sunday 3rd August 11-4 at Marine Troon where she will have a beautiful display filled with mosaic wall art, garden ornaments, trinkets and interior decoration

Say hello to another brand new maker!

will be at our artisan market at David Livingstone Birthplace on Sunday 27th July and we are so excited to welcome her!

Ellen creates stunning digitally printed textile designs created with ink paintings and digital editing tools. The textile pieces are then made into gorgeous homewares including wooden coasters with an abstract floral theme, hand sewn cushions featuring a screen printed cockatoo, art prints and high quality posters, greetings cards with watercolour illustrations and hand painted satin scarves with beautiful watercolour designs
