So ladies and gents it is with utmost sadness that we say farewell to S&G Security.

After a fantastic year, we have had no option to close due to a number of issues that are beyond our control.

We have enjoyed all the opportunities we have had.

However please don’t be concerned, most of our staff have been taken on by another company. A fantastic company call G&D Solutions, which has been around for a number of years and has an excellent reputation, and our training won’t stop either as G&D has its own training division.

So we ask you, if you have liked our page please head over to G&D Training, and G&D Solutions and like their pages - you will not be disappointed.

As a company, we are looking for the following staff starting ASAP (once all checks have been completed)

Door supervisors - £14.50 an hour. Paid weekly for regular doors every Friday and Saturday evening in Colchester, Essex (Please do not apply if you cannot commit to every week, yes we understand people need nights off, but not every weekend)

DS Badged Staff - work day work 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day) £14.00 per hour, paid weekly. This is a customer-focused role.

DS Badged Staff for events - We have events across the country throughout the year, not just over the summer. Rates will be £13.75 per hour; this is ad hoc work. (Some travel and food allowance may be included, depending on the site)

Steward Positions for Events - We have events across the country throughout the year, not just over the summer. Rates will be £12.50 per hour, which is ad hoc work. (Some travel and food allowance may be included, depending on the site)

Pete is home!

As you may be aware - Pete Goodman disappeared off to Scotland last week to complete the first of his 3 missions to raise money for .

We were looking forward to some radio silence however he still checked in with the office staff daily to see how we are getting on without him - how chivalrous!

As a company, we are so proud of Petes' resilience and look forward to the day he stops complaining about his blisters.

We hope you all had a lovely weekend and are refreshed for the week ahead.

Our team were very busy last week in terms of Security and we also had the Motorcycle First Aid course which received glowing reviews for which we are grateful.

3 Challenges. 1 Cause. 100% Commitment.

As you may be aware, our very own Pete Goodman is fundraising for Combat Stress this year.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading Veterans' Mental Health charity, the work they do is life-changing and often life-saving. When some Military Personnel leave service, their experiences can’t easily be left behind. Without treatment, psychological trauma can eventually tear lives apart.

Pete is off to Scotland TODAY to complete his first challenge of walking 100 miles over 8 days (12.5 miles every day for a 48 year old, 22 stone man is quite an achievement)

In August comes the 3 peaks challenge, that's 1 mountain a day!

The last challenge he has roped the Management team in to and we are collaborating our steps during work time to walk 10 million steps by December.

If you know Pete, you will be aware that loyalty is one of his most redeeming perks. He is committed to this fundraiser to support a charity that has helped both friends and colleagues of his over the 100 years it has been set up.

We have no idea how he fits the training in with his work schedules but somehow, he is absolutely smashing it!

You break dance - we break down laughing.

What can we say! You certainly provide us with our evening entertainment and we can never say the enthusiasm isn't there!

Some are better than others when it comes to drunk dancing, and we are here for it! (The robot is probably our favourite)

However you choose to see the weekend in; whether in your pjs with a good book, a family dinner or attempting the twerk, we hope you have fun!
