Last weekend... let me tell you about last weekend! It almost never happened 🫠 (not that our lovely newly weds had any clue 😅) but behind the scenes were blood (literally, I cut my arm) sweat and tears, lots of them! 🙈
2 weddings booked in, busy bees 🐝
Saturday morning, treated the van to a wash and full tank of diesel ⛽️
Enroute to our first wedding Saturday eve, the van decides to light up the dash like a Christmas tree, and power is gone... 🎄
LUCKILY we have the most amazing friends (also lucky to have them as neighbours) who lent us their van so we could get to the wedding reception with the Magic Mirror, we were only 15 mins behind schedule, and there was a delay at the wedding so they were running behind also which helped! I'm thankful I always plan to arrive early 🤣
We had a great night and I held back the stress and worry of the van so no one knew any different, only that our blue van covered in starfish's wasn't outside, but our friends van looked great with our little magnet on it 😅
Sunday morning... couldn't sleep all night so was up at the crack of dawn trying to find a rental van for Sunday evenings wedding... 😬
Apparently cars and vans aren't really hired on Sundays as most companies are closed... all the big names! 🫠
Thankfully we found a business open, were open, quick polite response to say they had a van available to collect!
Highly recommend them, a small family run business in MK, great prices, friendly guys, simple process to hire, no crazy deposit and efficient communication! Definitely worth giving them a like and saving their details for future reference! 👌🏻
Our van is now fixed, thanks to our mechanic... just in time for another double wedding weekend, one on Saturday and one on Bank Holiday Monday!
Luckily the weekend weddings went perfectly and we had great fun with both couples and their friends and family with the Magic Mirror 🪞
