We've got just one day left until we take over rhubarb bar over in Huddersfield with a cult classic inspired day event... so heres the FAQ

Q.When does it start?
A. The event starts at 3pm

Q.When does the event finish?
A. The events official finish time is 10pm but if we're still busy the licence is till 2am

Q. Can you pay on the door?
A. Yes they'll be both cash and card options aswell as skiddle still having the tickets live (these will be a little cheaper than the door price)

Q. What times X DJ playing?
A. They'll be no set times as I feel its important to support events from as early as possible so that every DJ is supported as theyre all very talented

Q. Is there a cloakroom?
A. no unfortunately there's no cloakroom

Q. Will there be some seating?
A. They'll be minimal seating but those that do need a quick sit down should be able to find a seat

Introducing our next promoter profile Josh Williams

Josh has always had a love for music. He found his passion for music after going to Global Gathering at the age of 15! Seeing acts such as Hixxy, Paul Van Dyk and Rob Tissera inspired him to pursue a career in music and promoting local events in his hometown of Weston-Super-Mare

After a long hiatus, he has rekindled his passion, and has joined the Mr Rave Events team!
‘Music has always played a big part in my life! I’ve always loved the lights, the lasers, the music and the community that surrounds the scene!
The work these guys do for local, talented artists is incredible and what they do for Andy’s Man Club inspired me to reach out and get involved! I’m so thrilled to be part of Mr Rave Events and cannot wait to rock the dance floor with all of you on Saturday 18th April and raise money for such a worthy cause at the same time.’

In honour of the legendary international trance DJ Lange making his debut in Huddersfield on the 18th of april at Rhubarb i thought id do a video showing my top 3 favourite tunes and remixes by the man himself

We've not got long at all now people less than a week to go and if you enjoy euphoric trance, piano house anthems and everything else the white isle of ibiza was known for in the late 90s early 2000s then this is the event for you

Feel weird typing this about myself but here goes 😅

Introducing our event promoter

Myself Jack Bairstow, ive always had a love for 90s-2000s dance culture practically obsessing over the freedom the films and videos depicted of people letting go and being free, no judgement on that dance floor just a mutual love and respect for the scene, im in no way a DJ have 0 technical ability but I have a drive to follow something im passionate about

event promotion started off as an idea during covid i knew I wanted to incorporate raving into something charity based after seeing sir tom do laps of his garden raising millions for out NHS, so from that I got thinking and as soon as I got the chance I reached out to a successful promoter and venue owner Jake Burdass who created a scene in this town, he was more than happy to help and we planned a 24hr live streamed rave from that we raised £1650 for our local hospice

What im most looking forward to about this event is its a nod to a cult classic film alot of you will recognise and this film has some of the best tunes from that age in it, a lot of you wont know this but we nearly had Lange play in Huddersfield for my first ever big planned event unfortunately it didnt happen so Im really excited to finally bring such an iconic DJ in the scene to my small town

My good friend Alistair Watkinson at the time was a facilitator for Andys Man Club and having then been told what this charity is and what they represent i felt it really fitting to then dedicate future events to this amazing cause, having lost friends and family and every day seeing more men struggle I knew this was the chosen charity, I couldnt believe the statistics of 1 man every 2 hours sadly loses their battle and ive had plenty of stick in the past "why only mens charity" unfortunately not everyones aware of the statistics

I knew absolutely nothing about promotion or event organising, just a working class lad with a passion and a desire to achieve something for a real issue, I really appreciate everyones past current and future support without you ravers these events are just a mans dreams with no real substance

Im really proud of the brand Mr Rave Events this'll be our 13th event and we're doing everything we can to make it as memorable as possible for you all ❤️

Introducing our next DJ and the man behind getting the venue back to its old glory Karl Haigh

Karlos got into djing at 13 by his first ever girlfriends dad who was a big dj back in the 70's. Karlos was brought up on Northern soul and his mentor was a big name back in those days djing at the famous Wigan Casino and Blackpool Mecca.

Anyone who is truly into their music and the origin of "The weekender and all nighters" will understand how influential Brian and the Northern soul scene was on Karlos, the rave scene came along shortly after that which was where Karlos really learnt his trade, djing at warehouses and on Pirate radio stations around the UK.

Karlos's music style adapted as the house and trance scene evolved into the 90's, Karlos was fortunate enough to land some huge gigs in ibiza and Aiya Napa securing residencys at some big clubs in the UK like the arches In Sheffield,Time in Nottingham and progress in Derby.

Karlos is looking forward to djing with the Legend Lange as he used to play many of his tracks and remixes in his sets

Andys Man Club means a lot to Karlos as this is his chosen charity for the other businesses he has. Andys Man Club is very close to his heart as it helps so many men in the UK who are going through turbulent times in their lives.

Introducing our next DJ profile Rob Van Arden

Manchester based Rob Van Arden is no stranger to the Trance scene.

After discovering trance in London during the late 90's, Rob moved to Manchester & became a regular at nights including Gatecrasher, Goodgreef & Insomniacz!

He also became a regular face at Manchester's legendary record shops Eastern Bloc & Spin Inn. It is here where he perfected his craft, digging deep into crates of white label & back shelf vinyls, always hunting for those tunes that would blow the roof off for his adoring fans!

Rob has supported legends of the scene including Paul Oakenfold, Signum, Rob Tissera and the one and only Lange!

We feel so privileged to have Rob play our event and cannot wait to see him blow you away with his unique sound and have you dancing the night away!

Introducing to you our next DJ, this ones an in house resident and not only that but has been with us from the very start helping make these events so memorable and all while shining a light on a real issue ✨️

Let me introduce to you Mr Edd Croft !!

Edd’s love of dance music started in the mid 90s with the funk driven beats of house and the euphoria of trance had him hooked from the start. Edd's love of both house and trance has stayed with him since, taking in both the more progressive and darker, harder sides of the genres as he grew with the sounds.

Edd came across Mr Rave in Huddersfield in 2021 and found that they were great little parties with lots of fun to be had and a sound bloke at the helm, noticing that they raised money for Andysmanclub, a charity close to his heart as it's saved his life a couple of times so felt the need to be involved in something that raised money and awareness for a place that had saved him by doing something he loves. Edd soon became a resident DJ and has grown with the brand that holds a special place in his life, playing numerous genres for them over the years - house, tough/ tech house, commercial dance, trance and drum & bass. The ethos and the people involved make these events special to be a part of
