Uddingston Vinyl Lovers Club Uddingston Vinyl Lovers Club morphed from Uddingston Indie Forever, first held in May 2024. Spin & Social! 🎵❤️ Anything Goes and Everything Flows is our motto!

The aims - A friendly and inclusive environment / Cool music / a place for record collectors and fans to come together. Uddingston Indie Forever started in May 2023 was started by friends, neighbours and music obsessives (Murray and Gerry) with a night at Uddingston Bowling and Tennis Club. The night sold out within a week of the 95 tickets going on sale! People danced, people sang along, people c

hilled out in the beer garden (the weather was ace!)and everyone had a good time. Indie music was at the heart of our first night, so we're keeping the name. But over time we'll play all kinds of stuff from the 60's onwards. Gerry has DJ'd professionally and extensively all over Glasgow and Scotland and was former resident DJ in the ABC. The Admiral Woods is a regular haunt for Gerry and he is a firm favourite at their annual Bowie night. Murray has put on DJ nights and bands across Glasgow and always enjoys the chance to play records, or (these days - as it's a lot easier than carting records around) get behind digital decks. We'll aim to put on a night every few months and will do for as long as people come to dance.

A couple of Glasgow gigs from local bands who DJ’d our first night last month.

Adam (right) runs a regular night in Glasgow called The Cabbage - after the Teenage Fanclub song.

Supersun are a five piece with two twelve string guitars, playing melodic pop influenced by 60’s and 90’s bands.

Fatale - Christopher (middle) is guitarist and songwriter for Fatale (as well as playing bass in Supersun) and they play the super cool Poetry Club, next to SWG3, on Thursday 2nd July. https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/fatale-glasgow-02-07-2026/event/360064B9A51C1AB8

Fatale are a five piece with energetic guitar pop songs that sound like a young Teenage Fanclub. Loads of hooks and great choruses.

Well worth checking them out. They will both be releasing EP’s later this year. Supersun also play Uddingston Musicfest in September. ❤️

Thanks for your interest in our first Sunday Social at The Rowantree Inn Uddingston

This is a completely free event, but we would appreciate it if you can book a ticket so we have an idea of numbers.

A few things to know;
- Expect a cool and eclectic mix of music. Our first night had 60's beat groups and psychedelia, motown and northern soul, punk, new wave, 80's pop, 90's indie, electronic goodness and much, much more. From Arab Strap to Zappa! It worked well!

- Expect a friendly and inclusive vibe.

- Bring some records! There will be slots available to book in advance (we will arrange this nearer the time), plus an open decks slot where you can play a few records.

- Or just come to hang out and enjoy the music and vibes.

Still a couple of months away, but we are also lining up quite a few things before the end of the year.

The Sunday Socials will be completely free and a fantastic opportunity to bring all kinds of records to play, or come along to hear.

Ticketed events might have some name DJ’s (mostly with a local connection) bringing their records to The Rowantree Inn Uddingston and playing alongside members.
