With the final market of the fresh flower season tomorrow, plans are already afoot for the festive season. If you’re ready to think about Christmas, I’ve opened pre-orders for my DIY Christmas wreath kits on my website. If it’s still a little too early for you, pre-orders remain open until mid-November. Choose between a classic and jazzy style wreath, DIY for you to make at home, or as an optional add on and I will make it for you.

The cosmos is having an absolute moment, putting out these gorgeous long chunky stems. Everyday I come in and they are getting taller and taller. I’ll definitely be collecting seeds from this part of the bed. These were all direct sown late May just before our heatwaves kicked off and look at them going now!

Today’s market stall is assembled. 20 minutes of set up in 30 seconds, husband roped in as always but today he got to bring his go pro.

Mid September after a nice dose of rain. Too little too late for some of the flowers but others are flourishing.

A few weeks ago, on a lovely summer evening, my husband visited the flower farm to take some photos of me in my happy place whilst I prepared for my flower stall. The dahlias were just getting going, it’s amazing I had any flowers then as we’d been so long without rain! What a strange summer and growing season 2026 has been but I do love dahlia season!

It’s that time of year when everything is so busy that posting on social media falls off your list! So here’s a little update on my favourite flower to grow, the dahlia. They are looking great at the moment and bring me so much joy. Swipe to see the later planted dahlias and cuttings. They’re taking their time but who can blame them in this hot and dry weather.
