I vividly remember asking Lily Jones of .wedding.coven, who is the brains, face and whirl of energy behind .weddings, if I was “quirky enough” to exhibit with them…

“You’re a celebrant!” she replied…

Apparently, that is enough! She patiently explained that ALL the things I do, ALL the ways I construct a ceremony, ALL the jokes I tell, ALL the stories I wheedle out of you and weave in, ALL the symbolic elements we might include, ALL the words I write bespoke for every couple… ALL of that makes me quirky!!

I think we celebrants sometimes forget that! After all, every wedding ceremony WE go to is like that… but not all the weddings that you and your guests go to will be!

So, come along to meet me at at on Sunday 8th September - I’ll be the one with the stand that isn’t covered with bright colours and sparkles 😉

It’s a year ago today that this fun loving couple, Ian and Jada, aka and , celebrated their wedding!

And did they do it with a standard, run of the mill, ceremony? No!!

They did it with one that was absolutely THEM in every way!

We started with gently ribbing them both about their dislike of ‘questions’…

And plenty of ‘old’ jokes for Ian…
💖
Wove in the story of how they met - running club, dates by the sea (that Jada totally missed as dates😆), his proposal, THE dream…

The sand ceremony that involved ALL the guests!

It was them through and through!

Choosing to have a bespoke wedding ceremony with an independent celebrant means that this moment will be the heart of your day and to get it just right takes a lot of talking (usually on Zoom), a lot of questions (both in our chats and on your questionnaires) and a lot of laughing from us all!

If you’re comfortable enough with your celebrant to share all your stories and a smattering of your secrets (knowing that - unlike the best man’s speech! - you will have full editorial control over what goes into the final script!!), then we can create a ceremony for you that is totally you and will leave your guests wondering how long we’ve been friends! 💛
