I like to remind myself that sometimes your old friends really pull it out of the bag for you. This was Red Bull F1 Teams Christmas Party. It's up there with too many other events that I've rated as super scary to pull off but.... well.... no one died even though we thought it was a good idea to have the real Red Bull F1 car drive down the length of the marquee to the stage... through the crowd. Turns out pole and velvet rope is not a sufficient crash barrier. Of course the driver could not resist trying to spin the wheels on marquee carpet and rev the engine to the max. According to my pal Chatty this was the RB5 car - the one that won the Chinese GP and would have had a maximum rev limit of 18,000 rpm - Even louder in a marquee when you are stood on the stage wondering if anyone else has had a F1 car come straight at them down an insufficiently secured red carpet spinning it's wheels whilst Deborah from accounts, slightly the worse for wear on Vodka and Redbull leans too far forwards to get a picture and nearly gets run over... anyway...over it now - Happy Daze.... Enjoy.
