I’ve been a little slack with my floristry pieces over the past few months while I settle into my new job, but I’m hoping to get the ball rolling again as we move in to spring - I’ve been missing my creative, therapeutic outlet🌷

I’m sad to share that Tuesday was my last day of Level 3 floristry for the year—the course has been cancelled due to low student numbers this term. Disappointed is an understatement, as I was so ready to build on my skills, but it just wasn’t meant to be at this time.

This bear design is my final college piece for now. We experimented with new techniques last week, and I used china grass to create a little knitted jumper for him. It was definitely a trust the process moment, but I’m really happy with how he turned out. 🐻

In the meantime, I’m determined to keep developing my skills. I’m actively looking for part-time or voluntary work with florists in Taunton and the surrounding areas to gain more experience and grow in the industry. If you know of any opportunities, I’d love to hear from you. 🌸
