Hey - looking for something to get you in the mood for spooky season.. Come along to Tropical Discovery Workshops collaboration with SENsational Events, Swindon :)

Kris from will be joining us on the 17th October for a hands on and interactive experience, getting up close with some of his creepy crawlies and their friends!

Tickets are VERY limited to keep this a small and immersive experience, and over a third have gone already - so don't wait too long.

We are welcoming SEN children and young people age 2-18 to this event and have split into two groups, 9 and unders and 10 plus, so please make sure you book the right one! If you would like to bring children that fit into different categories, send me a message and we can sort it :)

As you can see from Kris' page, he has lots of experience visiting SEN schools, groups and provisions - and having taken my two to several of his events before, I know you will all love him too! I have attached some pictures of our fun last time.

All attendees MUST be supported by an adult throughout, for both the children and animal's safety. If you are a bit scared of creepy crawlies, don't let this put you off attending. There is no pressure to go near anything you don't want to, and I will also be on hand to support your child through their turn if they want a look and you don't.

The awesome Kris from Tropical Discovery Workshops will be joining us on the 17th October for a hands on and interactive experience, getting up close with some of his creepy crawlies and their friends!

Thank you so much to the families that came to today's park play. What a lovely afternoon in the sun we had 🌞🫧

After conversations today, we've had the idea to create the private group Swindon SEN Play Dates and Catch Ups. This is still very much part of this group, but the thought process is the following:

This SENsational Events, Swindon page will be used for advertising and booking our main events. As these are paid for, I can monitor who is attending.

The Play Dates and Catch Ups group will be used for the free, impromptu, informal things like play park meet ups, visits to the splash park, sharing events run by others that our SEN community may enjoy. As it's a closed private group, I can make sure it's only local families joining. Therefore sharing posts of where/when we will be taking our young people in smaller or more isolated groups is private and only seen by those we've vetted.

I want to think the best of everyone on our page, but after frequent spam posts and also posts locally about scary events happening at play parks etc, I thought this was the best way to be able to share plans and keep safe at the same time.

So basically if you've read my waffling and it doesn't make sense, or you've skipped through to get to the point:
- Main page advertises all the events we're putting on
- Private group shares informal small group meet ups like play parks, soft play, etc so please join it if that would benefit you.

Thank you SO much to Damian at Totally Crazy for such a fun evening, and thank you to all of you that came along!!

Thank you again for making my vision come true and creating such a wonderful community.

Thank you so much to the three families that braved the heat for our park meet up today! It was lovely to see/meet you and we lasted a strong 40 minutes before it was too much for everyone, which is 39 minutes more than I was expecting 🤣
