⭐️Coven Road, Tinkers Lane & Port Lane Residents ⭐️

Dreamwood Park has kindly agreed to house a new Defibrillator at their site. This will be accessible for all Brewood residents and visitors 24/7 and will be on the live ‘The Circuit’ database for WMAS.

All we need to do now is raise the funds for the unit, fitting and upkeep costs with your help:

More information:
The nearest 24/7 accessible Defib is located at the Coop & Brewood Middle School. Brewood & District Community First Responders are raising funds for a new defib, cabinet and installation costs to be located at Dreamwood Park entrance. As we are volunteers and the service is run by fundraising, we are asking for donations (however big or small) from local businesses and residents to fund this new much needed Defib.

The fundraising includes the cost of the unit, fitting, signage and ongoing maintenance costs such as pad replacements (depending on the model can be £90-120 per use) and battery replacements (depending on the model can be £200-400 every 3-5 years). The lifespan of the unit is normally 7-10 years. Regular checks of the unit will be carried out by our CFR team who are volunteers. The unit will be added to 'The Circuit' Defib Database, meaning when needed the WMAS will advise the caller of their nearest unit and the code to access this.

We are currently applying for funding for the unit and should this be successful any extra money raised will be towards ongoing costs and further units throughout Brewood, making this life saving equipment more accessible to more people when they need it!

We are looking to raise funds and locate a new defibrillator along Kiddemore Green Road which can be accessed 24/7.

Currently the nearest ones are located at Coop and Brewood Middle School in the centre of Brewood. Even when the bridge is back in action 🤞 these are still a long way away and when minutes and seconds count, they are just too far!

What we need:
📍A location for the new unit - this could be a business or home, just somewhere that can be easily accessed 24/7 when needed.
💰 Funds - we are hoping to raise enough money from donations to be able to cover the cost of the unit, installation and electric set up.

If you are able to house this unit or have any ideas who might, please message us. The Justgiving page for donations is below:

Thank you ☺️

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥?

Volunteering is a genuinely rewarding experience, filled with lively conversation and a real sense of camaraderie and team spirit. We need a team of volunteers or to put it another way “a pool of resource” that we can rely on with their commitment to deliver whatever they volunteer for.

· Maybe for the less experienced, it’s a great opportunity to learn about new things and widen your horizons as we work together as a whole team and sub teams.
· Maybe you are a very experienced individual and are willing to give some time to help with the running of the Jubilee Hall.
· Maybe you just want to have some fun, get out the house and be part of something VERY special.
· Maybe, and dare I say most importantly, YOU, like us, do not want to see this great venue and community charity close. Yes, close!

The more volunteers / pairs of hands we have the greater the work is shared.
