Yesterday's cake deliver for a little lady celebrating her 1st Birthday. The customer wanted Victoria sponge with pink icing.

3 layers of classic Victoria sponge sandwiched together with jam and then coated in lots of icing and piled with fresh strawberries on top.

Another happy customers from yesterday's afternoon tea. The little details made it all the more special for the guests and she's right about plenty of tea.

Afternoon tea for 21 today. Finger sandwiches: egg and cress, smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber and Ham , Coronation chicken tart, Cheese scones, Sausage rolls.

Plain and Sultana scones with Jams and clotted cream. Followed by Raspberry and coconut cake, Chocolate chip cake and Coffee and Walnut cake.

Along with lots and of endless tea.

All things catered arrived at the hall, set up, served, washed up and packed away so the host and guests could enjoy a afternoon off.

Buffet platters for 100 today. Funeral reception for a lovely man who was club secretary for years and a well respected man in the community.

We did a selection of savoury food and sweet treat. Sandwiches, Indian bites, mini quiche, chicken satay sticks, pork pies and sausage rolls, crudites,chocolate cake, lemon cake, Cherry and almond and fruity flapjack.

Little loaf cakes for a customer whos moving away on Wednesday. Shes always been such a great customer and supportive of the business recommending me to friends and bigging me up in the community groups.

Classic lemon drizzle and a ginger cake.

Yesterday for in Letchworth. We delivered a little chicken roast dinner for the kids. Roast chicken, Roast potatoes, mixed vegetables. Little 99 cakes for pudding along with yoghurt and raisins for snack time.

Yesterday afternoon I hosted a summer tea party for my regular lunch club Intouch.

Lovely for the folk to have a chance to catch up and chat as we haven't had lunch club for 4 weeks so they all enjoyed chatting over light refreshments and lots of tea, also celebrating 2 Birthdays.

Nice to use the antique china that I have been collecting for a while too.

Today after a few weeks of eating plums straight from the tree we decided to make the rest of the crop into jam. I picked the plums, mum de-stoned the plums, we put them in a big pot with a touch of vanilla, cinnamon and lots of sugar!! Simmered, boiled and then into sterilised jars, its now setting and will go into the jam for afternoon teas cupboard. Lovely smell of fruit filling the kitchen and wonderful to be able to use fruit fresh from the garden.
