🎨✨ Important Pricing Update ✨🎈

To all my wonderful customers,

Firstly, thank you so much for your continued support. ❤️

For the past 4 years, I've kept my face painting prices at an average of £50 per hour, despite the rising costs of running my business. Unfortunately, with increases in insurance, fuel, travel, vehicle maintenance, equipment, and professional supplies, I can no longer hold my prices at the current rate.

My new prices will come into effect on 1st January 2027.

The good news is that any booking made before 1st January 2027 will still receive my current 2026 pricing, even if your event takes place later in the year.

For example:
🎉 Book your party today for 13th June 2027, and you'll pay my current rate of £50 per hour.
🎉 Book that same date on or after 1st January 2027, and the new pricing will apply.

This gives everyone plenty of opportunity to secure their 2027 events at my current prices before the increase takes effect.

These new prices also bring my business in line with other professional face painters in my local area, where rates typically range from £50–£75 per hour.

Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to support my small business. I look forward to creating lots more colourful smiles and magical memories with you all! 🎨🩷🎈

Book early, lock in 2026 prices, and secure your date before 1st January 2027!

A little reminder when booking a face painter 💕🎨

It can be tempting to choose the cheapest quote, but there’s often much more behind a professional face painting service than the few minutes it takes to paint each face.

A professional price helps cover things such as quality products, hygiene and cleaning, insurance, training, equipment, travel, preparation, set-up and pack-down, admin, taxes and the many hours that go into running a reliable business.
As a member of the international facepaint association #607
This a guaranteed.
When booking please check out other FACE members near you and ensure you too are having a professional facepainter at your next event.

https://www.facepaintingassociation.com/

Everyone is free to set their own prices, and every artist has their own circumstances and experience. But when comparing quotes, it’s worth looking at the whole service rather than simply choosing the lowest price.

When you book an established professional, you’re paying not only for the painting, but for their experience, reliability, safety, quality and everything that happens behind the scenes to make your event run smoothly. 💕

There’s a reason I ask how old your child is.

Contact dermatitis is just one of the reasons we ask a child's age before face painting. Children under 3 are more susceptible to absorbing paint and other chemicals through their skin, which can increase the risk of reactions.

My insurance specifically states that I cannot paint children under the age of 3. As a member of FACE, I am also committed to following its Code of Practice and maintaining the highest professional standards. These rules are in place to protect children, their families, and my business.

At a free public face painting event today, I asked every parent of children who looked around 5 years old or younger how old they were. Every parent replied that their child was 3 or older. On this occasion, I didn't ask for a date of birth because, a few weeks ago, I received a 1-star review after asking someone to confirm their child's age, and I didn't want to cause offence again.

A little girl sat in my chair, chose her design, and I had already started painting a Stitch design when her older sister casually mentioned that she wasn't actually 3 yet—she was only 2. I stopped and asked Mum again to confirm her age, explaining that if she was under 3, my insurance would not cover me should she have a reaction. Mum again said she was 3, but her sister repeated that she was only 2.

I couldn't take that risk, so I stopped the face paint and explained why I couldn't continue.

I completely understand that little ones want to join in with their older siblings, friends, and family. As a parent, it's hard to see them miss out. But these rules aren't there to spoil anyone's fun—they exist to keep children safe and to ensure face painters are working within their insurance and professional guidelines.

Please don't put your child, or your face painter, in this position. It's never "just paint." Children's safety will always come first, and I will always follow the standards I'm insured and trained to uphold, even when it's a difficult conversation

Sometimes cleaning out tour kit can be a messy job. But we do full deep cleans about 4-5 times a year.
This involves taking old paints out fully sanitising our trays. And reporting new paints. Creating new cakes and one strokes.
Hoovering all loose glitter out of the bottom od the case. Washing them over.
Checking wheels and handles on the cases.
Deep cleaning of all stencils.

The result starts messy but turns out shiny on your events.
The waste? We either bin reuse as practice paint. If out of date.
If still in date and usable we create new colours or repot with a new cake.
This can only be done with the brand paints I use. Unfortunately insurance can be quite strict with reporting certain other brands
