Are you a Natural Makeup kind of girl? 🤭 Natural Makeup doesn’t have to mean boring….it just means that your skin looks like skin and all your features are enhanced in a subtle way!

Here is a lovely example of a more natural makeup. There’s nothing boring about beautiful Becky 🥰 Her eyes are enhanced with just a light wash of eyeshadow, her skin is perfected without a heavy coverage and she is glowing in all the right places without seeing a powdery highlight. Let me know if this is your kind of makeup in the comments 👇🏻 You can also learn how to get this look in my DIY Bridal Makeup Bootcamp. Send me a DM if you’d like to know how to sign up ♥️

Do you know where to start when deciding what kind of makeup to have on your wedding day ⁉️ If the answer is no keep reading! 💯

Even if you have hired a Makeup artist for your wedding day it is still helpful to plan what kind of makeup you want for the day. This will help when you start to trial the makeup on yourself, and it will also help your makeup artist get it right for you!

Here are my top tips to get you started on deciding what type of makeup you should go for ⬇️

1 ↪️ Start by scrolling Instagram & Pinterest to look for makeup looks that catch your eye. Use specific search terms to narrow your search. for example you could search Depending on what you think you like.

2 ↪️ Collect all the pictures you liked in one place (Pinterest is good for making a board of pictures you like) and study each picture to decide what aspects of that makeup you like and don’t like. This will help you decide what kind of eye makeup you like, how you want your skin to look and what lips/cheek colours you want to try.

3↪️ Instead of trying to copy the makeup in one picture, you can make separate Pinterest boards for different aspects of your makeup. You may find a picture with eyeshadow that you really like but you really don’t like the lip colour, or the skin makeup isn’t what you’re looking for. This process will narrow down what you do and don’t like and will avoid any confusion or miscommunication at your trial.

When you join the DIY bridal makeup bootcamp, I walk you through this step and provide you with your personalised bridal makeup planner! I love using my planner to decide on bridal looks and it’s fun finding out what you like and don’t like! Let me know in the comments how you get on with your planning 🥰

Ever wondered how makeup artists get that perfect Smokey line on the lower lashes? 🌟 It’s all in the brush!

This has quickly become my favourite brush this wedding season! It’s small enough to build up a Smokey lash line and is great for smoking out eye line as well! Who’s adding this to their shopping list? You can also get 20% off using my code on LFTFDIYBRIDAL

Want to know the secret to my glowy glam bridal base? 🔐

I have had a lot of messages this week asking what I use to create the base for my brides… so I thought I’d let you into the secret and share the exact products I use to create a base that is just right for each bride.

➡️ Hollywood Flawless Filter

➡️ Face and Body Foundation

➡️ Ultra HD Foundation

➡️ Pro Longwear Concealer or Studio Fix Conceal abs Correct palette

I use these products in different ways to create a base that is just right for my bride. Sometimes I use just one of these and other times I use all of them together. Leave a comment if you’d like to know which is the right option for you 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

The Smokey Eye 🌟

Hands up who is going for a Smokey eye on their wedding day... and a double hands up of you are doing it yourself 🙌

When creating an eye makeup like this I always start with a medium eyeshadow as the base. You can the darken the outer corners and the lash line with a darker colour and add a shimmer colour of your choice! I went for Bronze for my beautiful bride Jennifer 😍

🌟 Read the Caption to find out more ⬇️

This is a question I get asked A LOT and there is no straight answer. It all depends on how you want your makeup to look and feel.

Firstly, one thing to AVOID when choosing what base to wear on your wedding day are products with high a SPF. SPF in foundations and powders cause flashback, making your face look white in photos. Your face will look normal in real life, but when a photo is taken with the flash on, the SPF in your foundation will cause your face to look whiter than it actually is. Chalky powders also cause a powdery cast in photos.

Secondly, the type of foundation you choose will all depend on what you want your makeup to look like.

I have four different options in my bridal kit. These are a Highlighting Primer, Sheer Foundation/Tinted Moisturiser, Full Coverage Foundation and Concealer. After chatting with my bride I decide which of these products to use to get her desired look. Some times I even mix these products to get the look she wants.

Or you would like more help to decide which type of foundation to go for, head to my blog and read about how each of the products I use can look. If you want to go one step better you can learn exactly how to use them I my DIY Bridal Makeup Bootcamp 💯
