StreetCar Festivals aim to introduce newcomers to the exciting world of grassroots motorsport. The festivals are a celebration of grassroots motorsport featuring multiple different StreetCar disciplines at the same venue on the same day. The event at Knockhill Racing Circuit will include a Cross Country Tyro, a Touring Assembly, and an Autotest demonstration.

Stansons RSAC Three Lochs Classic

For our final event of 2025, we returned to the Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club in Rhu for the Stansons RSAC Three Lochs Classic. We were delighted to have received a record entry for recent times of 71 cars, with the most senior being 113 years old: the 1912 Alldays & Onions driven by Rachel Dover. The entry list was a presentation of 110 years of motoring, with famous marques such as Jaguar and MG particularly well represented.

Our new sponsors Stansons were much in evidence throughout the day, with Ruari Gillespie flagging off the first few cars before jumping into his own car to take part in the run. The opportunity was taken to raise funds for Sir Jackie Stewart’s Race Against Dementia charity, a cause dear to Ruari’s heart.

Following last year’s monsoon conditions, the weather played its part in ensuring a successful event, with unbroken sunshine and temperatures of 27-28 degrees during the day.

Unfortunately the route had to be shortened owing to a road traffic accident unconnected with the event, but the participants greatly enjoyed the challenging roads of Argyll and the stunning scenery.

The Albion Cup for the best car in the Run was won by Bill McCreath from Buchlyvie, driving a 1927 Alvis. This beautiful trophy was presented to the then Scottish Automobile Club in 1910, when it was awarded in annual competition to “the commercial motor vehicle driver shewing highest merit in respect of the care intelligence in upkeep and maintenance of his vehicle”.

Planning now begins for our three 2026 events: the RSAC Spring Run in April, the RSAC Scottish Rally in July and the Stansons RSAC Three Lochs Classic in August.
