This Earth Day I’m proud to be part of the British Flowers movement.

Flowers from the Farm champions artisan growers of seasonal, scented, sustainable British cut flowers.

OK that might be a slight overstatement, but germination is a success in itself!

Here’s hoping for some early flowering sunflowers.

Sunflowers are half hardy which means that they can’t tolerate the frost. I’ve looked at the temperatures between now and mid May and fingers crossed the weather’s going to be mild so I’m taking a gamble and planting some sunflowers now in the hope that I can include them in some early summer bouquets.
