And that’s it… voting has CLOSED! 🥹💗

So I’ve done everything I can do, and now it’s over to the judges…

I was nominated for the Wedding Industry Awards just ONE WEEK ago. One week to tell my couples (and ask them to vote 😬 🙏)

But guess what? Every single one of my couples who I asked voted for me 🥹

They took the time out of their busy lives to go and support me, and that means more than I can properly put into words 😭

If I don’t go any further than this, that is genuinely enough for me because m this little nomination has already done something I didn’t realise I needed it to do…

It’s given me a HUGE confidence boost 🤛

It’s made me stop and think, actually… I can do this

I became a celebrant because I wanted to do funerals, and then you guys asked me to weddings too - and now I REALLY love them

Like I REALLY do. ❤️

I love hearing your stories, I love helping you make your ceremony completely you, I love the funny bits, the emotional bits, the unexpected bits and everything in between…

And the fact that you trust me to be the person standing up there with you on one of the biggest days of your life?

That’s pretty bloody special 🥰

So, whether this little adventure ends here or there’s another chapter to come…

Still madly in love? Still choosing each other after all these years? Still putting your person first? Well that’s something worth celebrating!

🤍 Would you do it all over again?

We've been thinking about vow renewals recently and how lovely it is that there really aren't any rules.

It could be ten years since your wedding...25.....50. Or perhaps you've been through a lot together and simply decided that now feels like the right time.

You can gather everyone together for a big celebration or keep it small. Wear something fabulous or keep things completely relaxed. Recreate parts of your original wedding or do something totally different.

The important bit is that, after however many years, you're still choosing each other.

And we think that's a pretty good reason for a party. 🥂

Did it rain? Yes…
Did we still go ahead in their desired outside location? You betcha!

10 mins before ceremony, the heavens opened…

We could have moved to indoors because The Wroxeter is always prepared for every eventuality. But James was adamant to wait until the last minute, and the risk paid off…

Just before Joanna and her beautiful bridal party walked down the aisle, the rain stopped, and it held off 🥰

This ceremony was an emotional rollercoaster. There were (lots of) tears (mainly from James), loads of laughter, loud church bells, and everything in between…

With all the seat wiping and rain malarkey, we forgot to leave space for the bridal party to sit - but come the moment, it didn’t matter! And actually the beautiful colours popping out dotted around the congregation made it more beautiful 🤩

I always love meeting family members that I’ve heard so much about. And when James’s mum got up to help his best woman and sister, Katherine, with her reading, the tears started again. So much love ❤️

There are some people who quietly shape your life without ever realising it 💓

25 years ago 😳 Mrs A was my A-Level Theatre Studies teacher, encouraging me to find my voice, tell stories, and stand in front of a room with confidence 🎭 (I was VERY shy)

Fast forward to last Saturday – on our 11th wedding anniversary, Matt and I were at Hope Mill Theatre when I bumped into her and we chatted in the loos (not shy now)

What made it even more special is that when I decided to become a celebrant, she was one of the very first people I turned to for advice. From guiding me through Theatre Studies to encouraging me on my celebrant journey, she’s been cheering me on across two very different chapters of my life 😍

Then she showed me her plaque on the wall at Hope Mill Theatre, and of course we had to grab a selfie 📷

Funny how life comes full circle. The people who teach us to tell stories often inspire us to spend our lives telling other people’s too - and we have lots! (Puking before my practical exam!🤢)

So lovely to see you, Mrs A. ❤️ Here’s to celebrating lives, love and all the stories in between.

For the first time in a long time, this weekend I got to put my feet up and just be a guest at a very special wedding…

Sara and Cal chose to have a registrar lead their ceremony as it was important to them to have their legal bit done on the same day ❤️

But I didn’t get away with it that easily as they very kindly asked me to be part of it… so in true Amy style I wrote a little poem and arranged for big sister Natalie to help me as a little surprise 😍

We didn’t get chance to rehearse together but I think you’ll agree we smashed it! 👏

Like the poem says - I’ve known Sara since BEFORE she was born. Her mummy had twins in April 1993 when I was just ten years old and it was the most exciting time EVER!

To watch them grow from the cutest babies to the most lovely grown ups and to be part of Sara’s special day was a real honour 🙏

Thanks for having me Sara and Cal… and thanks for the intro to the most amazing venue .weddings - I’ll be back!
