If you have been "put off" lime pickle by the 'claggy' and overly stringent examples served in many South Asian restaurants, I hope you might try mine!

Bright, vibrant and full of flavour, my Spiced Lime Pickle will assault every taste bud and enliven your pallet. Four whole limes in every jar.

Lime pickle isn't just for popadoms and curries. Chop some and add extra olive oil to make a rub for roast chicken, or add a spoonful to elevate roast potatoes just before serving.

£5.50 for a 230g jar.

With a busy Easter weekend approaching, I have been making lots of chutney this week to ensure I have plenty of stock.

Here is a step-by-step pictorial about how I make my best selling Mustard Piccalilli.

It's going to be a busy week in the kitchen ahead of two full days at Faversham Market next week, Good Friday and Easter Saturday.

I have four chutneys to make this week to supplement my stock.

- Mustard Piccalilli (my top seller)

- Lime Pickle (which sold-out last Friday)

- Rhubarb, Apple & Ginger (Chutney of the Month), and

- Tomato & Chilli Jam

Each day I will post a step-by-step pictorial of the chutney being made, starting today with my Mustard Piccalilli.

My chutneys and pickles are BIG and BOLD and not for the faint hearted.

People sometimes say I am expensive compared with supermarket brands.

Yes I am.

But the photo below demonstrates why. The Piccalilli on the left is a leading commercial brand on sale for £3.20. The one on the right is mine, £5.50 (or £5 if you buy two).

I appreciate many people are balancing their household budgets - but I hope you can see why Shepperton Chutney Company offers a very superior product.

All my chutneys are hand crafted in small batches, using where possible locally sourced organic produce and free from artificial preservatives.

One of the joys of making chutney and pickles for a living is the wonderful aromas that fill my kitchen.

None more so than when I make my Punjabi Garlic Pickle (Lahsun ka Achar).

I make this only occasionally and in very small batches as it has a relatively short shelf life and is quite costly to make, safe in the knowledge that any I don't sell at market will be consumed at home.

With eight different spices it really is a stunning condiment.

I mash some of the garlic in olive oil for amazing garlic bread, to make croutons for soup, as a marinade steak or Lamb before cooking or to flavour roast vegetables and stir fry.

A 230g jar containing around 4 bulbs of garlic (35 cloves) sells for £5.50.

Despite the wet and cold weather, I had a lovely day at Faversham Market today, selling my artisan chutney.

Always a lovely atmosphere from shoppers and other traders. Thank you to Shane (Market Manager) who runs things so efficiently.

See you next Friday (13th).
