😍 On the table today ...
🥂 Wine glass charms for an upcoming birthday party. 🍾

Fiddly but fun, however I am in danger of going cross eyed searching for the letter beads!

I find beading so therapeutic, the repetition of stringing beads allows your mind to wander whilst your fingers are busy. 😊

🍹Also great to do with a glass of wine and a friend or two to wind down after a busy week!😉

📿I offer bespoke bead and jewelry making workshops and parties for adults, teens and little people. I'll also be running some jewellery making over the summer holidays as part of my holiday clubs.

Thank you Shelley for such a gorgeous "April Awakening " workshop last week. It was a relaxed and gentle morning, chatting about botanical magic over gluten free brownies (thanks ) and mixing roller ball potions to each person's specific requirements.

Visible mending is a great way to make your clothes last longer, or indeed to upcycle thrifted items. I started patching, weaving and mending whilst at university, eking out the life of my treasured 501s for several years.
Now, my son's jeans are still a perfect and comfortable fit but nobody needs to see his underpants walking down the street! Half an hour with cotton embroidery floss, some hand stitching and weaving and voilà - the repair becomes part of a new, unique design. I choose tonal colours for a subtle fix but bright and bold would also work.

🪡Sewing class went down a storm last week! The girls each choose their own simple pattern and fabric which they brought along to class. A busy morning of measuring, cutting, stitching, ironing and adjusting resulted in some pattern hacking and almost finishing their garments. E made this fabulous halter-neck neck top and just needs to finish the bottom hem at home. 🧵

👋Do get in contact if you're interested in bespoke sewing sessions for beginners, hand and machine sewing offered. Ages 8-adult, £25 hourly rate for a group size of up to 4 so everyone gets the attention and guidance they need. Gather some friends to learn new skills and split the cost.

Learning to decode and use a pattern is a fantastic skill to have. Seeing how flat pieces of fabric come together to make a 3 dimensional, wearable garment is still magical to me even after years of dressmaking. Such a sense of accomplishment for these lovely girls to create from fabric to shorts in 3 hours.

It's been a busy few days in the workshop this week: giant birds, bunnies, eggs, collage, weaving, colouring, designing, making and creating with giggles and smiles and such joy!
