The night before a wedding carries a kind of magic all of its own. After months of planning, countless decisions, and all the carefully laid plans coming together, everything is finally done. The venue is dressed, the dress and suits are waiting patiently for the morning, and for the first time in a long while, you can simply be present, soaking up these precious moments with the people you love most.

Alex & Dan’s wedding was no different. They married on a beautiful May day in the incredible grounds of Wootton Hall, and I had the privilege of creating the flowers for their welcome dinner the evening before.

We chose an abundance of seasonal flowers in soft whites, buttery pinks, and delicate greenery - a palette that felt effortlessly romantic and perfectly suited to the celebrations ahead 🤍

Wild urns in full bloom 🌿 I loved creating these wild floral urns, filled with a beautiful mix of seasonal blooms, locally grown flowers, and foliage gathered from my own garden. They made the perfect backdrop for a summer wedding ceremony and looked especially beautiful bathed in sunlight in the ceremony room at Walcot Hall.

Tiny hands, big blooms… and she already knows exactly what she likes 🌼⁣

This weekend was a mix of making beautiful bouquets wrapped in love and making memories. However, her version of “helping” is picking out the flowers she wants for the vase in her bedroom… and honestly, she’s got great taste.⁣

Three lessons I learnt while styling for this beautiful spring shoot… ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
1.Daffodils are divas.⁣⁣⁣⁣ Beautiful? Absolutely. Team players? Not so much. Freshly cut, they release a toxic sap that blocks other flowers from drinking. I accounted for it - separate conditioning and discreet water vials kept the rest of the arrangement performing perfectly.⁣⁣

2. Don’t leave your trimmings bag on the floor next to an electric heater while you pop off to make a cup of tea.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
Very nearly set the studio (and all my beautiful blooms) on fire…⁣ Tea was still enjoyed, just with a bit more relief than usual.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
3. It’s okay to start again - I made the bridal bouquet three times. Not because I had to - but because I knew it could be better, and getting it right matters.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
All part of the process - and all worth it for the final result! ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
I hope you love the flowers as much as I loved creating them 🧡🩷💛⁣⁣⁣⁣

🌸 For the women who help us bloom - Happy Mother’s Day 🌸⁣

To all the wonderful women who nurture, support and love - whether you’re a mum, step-mum, grandma, auntie, or simply someone who cares and is always there when it matters - today is for you 🤍⁣

This year I made beautiful bouquets for the lovely ladies in my own life - proudly modelled by my own little lady 🤍⁣

I had really hoped to create Mother’s Day flowers this year, and so many of you kindly asked about them. Unfortunately my little studio isn’t quite up and running yet (fingers crossed for next week!), so I just didn’t have the space to make it happen this time - Roll on next year 🌸

⁣A few camera roll moments from Flower School 📸🌼⠀
My first introduction to floristry - and it did not disappoint. ⠀
What an incredible time immersed in all things flowers!⠀
From learning the mechanics behind button holes and beautiful displays, understanding the different flower types and names, styling soft stems versus hard stems, to exploring colours, shapes, and blooms I’d have never thought to use together before.⠀
It was a course that expanded my creativity and understanding - from sourcing and conditioning to pricing and designing everything from gift bouquets to funeral arrangements.⠀
Grateful for the learning, the creativity, and the inspiration 🌼

⁣⠀

Hi everyone, I’m Holly 👋 and I thought it was about time I introduced myself.

A little about me… I’ve recently turned 34, I’ve been married to my wonderful husband for a year and a half, and we have an incredible little girl who started school in September. We also have a grumpy old cocker spaniel! ⠀

I’ve always loved flowers and I’ve always loved being creative. Becoming a florist is something I’ve often said I’d love to do “one day”, but I never really allowed myself to think about it seriously - especially in my thirties. I currently work in a corporate role alongside being a wedding coordinator (I like to keep busy!), so flowers always felt like a dream rather than a plan.⠀

My little girl is 4, and she’s full of big ideas and even bigger dreams 💭🤍 She’s always telling me what she wants to be when she grows up - one week it’s a policewoman, the next she wants to be on stage, or a hairdresser like her Auntie Sophie. I always tell her she can be anything she wants to be if she believes in it enough… and that made me stop and think. How could I say that to her, while being too scared to go after what I want myself?⠀

So I decided to be brave and show her that it’s never too late to do something new.. and that it’s absolutely ok to change your mind. And so, here I am, starting my own little florist dream 🌸⠀

I’ve been to flower school, where I was taught by the wonderful Sarah and her incredible team and while I was there I met two lovely women who were on the same journey as me. So… who knows where this will lead, but if you’d like to come along for the flowery ride, I’d love to have you 🌸⠀

I’m still working my 9–5, wedding coordinating, doing the school run, setting up my little home studio, and walking the dog - so it may be a slow start, but I’m hoping it will bloom 🌸
