I love reading the posts in this group. A beautiful example of why blood may be the foundation of a child’s start in life…..but love, protection, encouragement, emotional security and mental wellbeing can very often be from outside sources.
When a parent/parents, can’t fulfill the needs of their own child/children, another family can become everything they ever needed. 🥰❤️💫🌻

I got over 50 reactions on my posts last week! Thanks everyone for your support! 🎉
I sincerely appreciate even the slightest interest people have taken -even if it is just to nose 🫣😉- and the ongoing support from my nearest and dearest. I am grateful for each and every one of you 🥰❤️💫🌻

The work that has been done, much of it quietly in the background, to bring awareness to this incurable condition has been nothing less than admirable. Since the release of the film ‘I Swear’ an incredible, powerful and very emotional story of one man’s struggles of living with this condition after developing Tourette’s in the 80s, has brought the condition into the spotlight. Families who previously had no contact or support networks to help them navigate their lives with Tourette’s, have had transformative experiences and it’s a huge big thank you to John Davidson, the man who the film is based on, and Tourette’s Scotland for their dedication and continued commitment to raising awareness on this life changing condition.

If you haven’t already watched ‘I Swear’, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Sp*nk for Milk ✊🏼

Do I do funerals?

This is a question I have been asked a few times now, and if I am honest, my initial answer was no. This was because my reason for wanting to be a celebrant, came after experiencing more bereavements and heartache in my personal life, before I even reached 40, than most people face in an entire lifetime.

From natural causes, heart attacks, aneurysms and cancer, to tragic accidents, su***de, overdoses and even murder.....I have lost many people I loved and cared about, and felt the pain and torment of mixed emotions from every one of them. So I chose to focus on the celebrations of life instead.

However....I have now in fact giving it much thought and consideration, and what I came to realise is; what I have is a full and grateful appreciation for life itself, and the people around me who have shown me love, support and encouragement even on my darkest days. I have, despite so many hard knocks throughout my life, always been able to pull myself up, dust myself down and rise from every fall better and stronger. But most importantly, I have a gift of being able to empower and uplift others, and radiate a natural warmth to those who are open and willing to welcome my authenticity.

So again, do I do funerals?

YES! Yes I do.

If you prefer to choose a more authentic reflection, by transforming a funeral script into a living tribute to your loved one, reminding everyone that while loss is painful, love endures through memory and story, and speaking from the heart, I can support with compassion, in honoring your loved one. Keeping their spirit alive in the most genuine way, through words that reflect who they truly were and the joy - and frustrations - they brought to others.

By creating a collective portrait of love and remembrance, sharing humorous stories and joyful memories, with each voice adding a new layer of understanding of how one life can touch many others, I can script a heartfelt, respectful and genuine reflection of the life your loved one lived.

Authenticity brings warmth and truth to a funeral service. Whilst a person's achievements and milestones are important, genuine reflections of who they were, highlight the small, personal moments that defined their character. With shared laughter, favorite sayings, or simple acts of kindness - and mischief - help paint a more vivid picture of a life well-lived.

Authentic reflections create space for emotion, tears and laughter, and help others relate while finding healing through shared experience.

Life is a gift which deserves to be celebrated, and I would be honoured to support you in celebrating the life of someone you love.🙏💝💫🌻

The Beauty of Symbolic Actions: Celebrating Connection Through Shared Experiences.

Symbolic actions are powerful tools for teaching and supporting values, connection, and collaboration. In early childhood settings, these moments help children understand abstract ideas like unity, teamwork, and belonging through tangible, hands-on experiences.

One beautiful example of this is the sand unity ceremony, which can be delivered in the comfort of your own home, for a creative and meaningful end of term celebration that visually represents togetherness, and the bonds of friendships formed from a young age.

Children who have formed probably their first social friendships have begun to learn about:

Collaboration: Working together toward a shared goal.
Empathy: Recognizing that everyone’s contribution is valuable.
Identity: Seeing their individuality reflected in a collective creation.
Belonging: Feeling part of a social group that celebrates unity and diversity.

These lessons extend beyond early years and influence how children interact with peers and approach group activities in daily life.

Parents and caregivers can incorporate symbolic actions like the sand unity ceremony into childrens parties, celebrations, or educational transitions. Whether marking the start of a new term, welcoming new children into the social group/family, or celebrating milestones, these rituals create lasting memories and strengthen the sense of support and togetherness.

The finished vessel, with its colorful layers and name tags, becomes a visual reminder of unity and shared experiences with those they have bonded with in a significant time in their life.

Symbolic actions like the sand unity ceremony remind us that even the smallest hands can create something deeply meaningful. Through simple, heartfelt rituals, children learn that unity is not about sameness—it’s about celebrating differences that come together to form something extraordinary.

If you would like to book a Sand Unity Ceremony for your child, or would like more information about what these celebrations involve, and how they can be adapted for various age groups or life transitions, please do get in touch via email at:

Symbolic Action - Candle Unity Ceremony.

In a candle Unity ceremony, a couple will first light their own candle, which represents their life as an individual, before joining their flames together using tapers, to light the main, central candle. This represents the joining of the two lives and the promise between the two, to light the path ahead together, in a new and shared future together.

This action can be tailored in many ways to fit the personalisation of each individual ceremony. Mothers, or other family members, can also share in this beautiful ritual by also having their own candles to begin, then joining the couple to light the central candle, as a symbol of unity and bringing the two families together as one supportive community.

Naming ceremonies may also incorporate this symbolic action, with the candle representing new life and a guiding light for the child's life ahead.

With so many ways to incorporate this action into various celebrations, candle unity is a perfectly heartfelt addition to an already beautiful ceremony.
