After an absence from social media last year i am long overdue sharing some of the 2025 highlights. The photographs speak for themselves - we always have fun but in particular I want to thank so many people who helped make it happen. First Upper Drum & Lower Durris Fishing Balmoral estate fishing Ballogie Estate and Dinnet and Kinord Estate - Salmon Fishing - River Dee for being such generous and accomodating hosts last year, also to the film crew who joined us and took the story of the River Dee Damsels a bit further afield to Japan!!!! You may notice too that we are sporting new headwear - thankyou to the DSFIA for the support. Cadence Fly Fishing a huge thankyou for the gift of a rod, reel and line to the beginners section and as always our band of volunteers and ghillies who support us every year and give their time for free. Also The River Dee for helping with the beginners day and last but not least are our Damsels - still going strong and always fun! Tight lines for 2026 ladies!

🥰 Personal highlights = hard to choose from so many but introducing Andi and Miquita Oliver to salmon fishing was a very special day indeed!

As ever a huge thankyou to all the ghillies,instructors and fishing community who continue to give their time so freely and special gratitude to all those who have shone a spotlight on the River Dee this year. It was the perfect chance for some of our more experienced anglers to introduce themselves to the beginners on the Damsels day on Saturday. Fishing brings such fabulous social opportunities for all ages and it is a pleasure to watch our community flourish and connect

Thanks to Visit Scotland for featuring the River Dee Damsels in their latest promotional video on flyfishing. Their camera crew captured us on a trip to Altries beat on the River Dee in a bid to encourage more people to give it a try. The wind made casting a bit difficult but as always we had a lot of fun.
