What an end go the pipe band competition season at the 🌏 World Pipe Band Championships at Glasgow Green on Saturday.

The band played twice with us finishing an overall very respective 5th out of 42 grade 4B bands!

The band played twice firstly in the heats then onto the final at 14.55, then again in the massed pipes and drums.

Well done to all the bands competing and the members who took part and the helpers behind the scenes and the organisers at the RSPBA.

Today Maisie & I competed with Dumfries Pipe Band at the European Pipe Band Championship, where we were placed 2nd in Grade 4B.

A great team effort by everyone and well done to everyone that competed in all grades.

Yesterday Maisie was competing at Clydeview Academy, Gourock. The competition was Robert Burns World Federation National Secondary Schools Festival.

Maisie competed in S5 & S6 Bagpiping representing Dumfries High School - Official and the & Galloway Burns Association - Schools Competition

🏆 Dumfries and Galloway Schools also won overall combining the score for Verse Speak, Singing, Instrumental & Bagpipes.

Today Maisie & I competed with Dumfries Pipe Band at the Sanquhar indoor competition in the 4A & 4b contest.
In both we were placed 3rd for thw first event of the pipe band season

Today, the band took part in the Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway Branch of RSPBA pipe band competition in 4B March's and 4A March, Strathspey & Reel. The competition took place in Sanquhar Academy this morning with an excellent turn out of bands.

With two strong fields of band bands we are delighted to have been placed in both renditions.

Yesterday Maisie played in the Dumfries & Galloway Burns Assosiation Schools Competition in the S5 & S6 Bagpipes, playing Robert Burn's A Man's a man for a' that & The taking of Beaumont Hamel.
Maisie was representing Dumfries High School - Official and has qualified to play at Gourock at the end of the month.
