Evening stroll.

People say I’m lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

I AM lucky to have been born at a time where the country I was born in offered me a large amount of liberty and a good education. I was lucky I found a career that enabled me to develop as an individual and acquire skills. After that, I made my choices and ended up living in a beautiful city surrounded by amazing friends. And as you see in this picture, also surrounded by sheep.

In other news I’ve discovered asparagus can be cooked in a thermos full of boiling water.

Life on the road can be tough. Limited cooking facilities, difficult to locate fresh vegetables so we all end up living on bananas and grapes/strawberries (washed under the bathroom sink’s tap).

Now cooking asparagus can be added to the repertoire of on the road cooking. All that is needed is a wide necked thermos and a kettle full of boiling water.

Road trip = Road trip snacks.

These strawberries are slightly tart. Ideal for a jaded palate after a good few hours on the road.

Leftovers? You betcha.

Toasted old dry sourdough. A bit of cheese sauce left over from making a lasagna, bit of leftover bolognaise (again left over from the lasagna) topped with fresh thyme.

Crunchy, creamy, garlicky, cheesy, meaty, what’s not to like?
