Unity In The Sun – My Story ❤️

I’ve probably told this story before, but here it is again! 😄

Back in 2000, I went to Corfu on my own with a bag of records, hoping to get a DJ job. I ended up becoming a resident DJ at Roadblock in Kavos, playing music and partying from 8pm–2am, seven nights a week. It remains one of the best experiences of my life.

After many returns to Kavos over the years, I was invited by Billy Daniel Bunter, Sonya Steele and Jay Folly to attend the very first Unity In The Sun in 2017.

From the moment I arrived, the magic started. I met Jumpin Jack Frost on the plane and drove him to the resort – a friendship that continues to this day. Around 200 like-minded people came together to celebrate rave culture in the sun, and when rain hit the first pool party, everyone simply moved the speakers under cover and carried on dancing. Unity’s spirit was born.

What stood out most was the sense of family. I arrived alone, knowing only a few people, and everyone welcomed me with open arms. At the time, I was going through a difficult breakup and struggling with the thought of becoming a weekend dad to my young son. The kindness and support I received meant more than people will ever know.

A few months later, the unimaginable happened. My beautiful son, Tommy Booz, passed away suddenly. It was the darkest time of my life. With the love of my family, friends, and my Unity In The Sun family, I somehow found the strength to keep going and return in 2018.

The support I received will stay with me forever.

Fast forward to 2026 – the 10th and final Unity In The Sun. What an incredible journey it has been. The friendships, memories, music, laughter, boat parties, mountain parties, and love will never be forgotten.

Thank you Billy, Sonya and Jay for creating something truly special and for allowing me to be part of it.
