We’re trying to track down Julie Winde. Julie won the Pumphreys hamper in the raffle. She has a Hexham area code and a very robust BT call monitoring phone system. Each year we have a writing/drawing competition for our children. This year we asked them to design a superhero for Ryton and show/explain their superpower. We have a winner from Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. It was incredibly difficult to choose as there were so many brilliant entries, were very grateful for the lovely Mr Innerdale for stepping in to help 😄

We’ll get their prizes to the schools by the end of this week. They’ve done really well and had such thoughtful entries. We’re so proud of the young people in this community 🤗

Today has been amazing 🤩

We’ve raised £3,628.14. This will go towards this years Christmas lights and activities.

Thank you to everyone that came along and contributed towards this incredible amount.

Thank you to the amazing team at Christmas for Ryton for all their work in organising this event. Without the generosity of volunteers this event would not have happened.

Thank you to everyone who came along to help out on the day. Ann and Cllr Kath McCartney did a grand job on the mini golf, even having a go themselves to test it out 😄Nadia and Cllr Kathryn Henderson had the incredibly challenging task of running and judging the fun dog show. Duncan and Mick were an awesome comedy duo drawing the raffle tickets.

If you’ve had a good time today and would like for next year to be even better please do consider volunteering. The more people involved the more we can do and the better the day can be. Please do drop us a message at [email protected]

Another awesome day with the inflatables at Ryton Fair. We hope the kids who played on the inflatables had an amazing time. The excitement of one child coming into the park and seeing them was a treat.

A reminder to those in the area that the inflatables will be taken to our sports coaching courses at Prudhoe High School and Whickham Scholl over the holidays so any children attending can have another play on them. Details are on the website or see the comments for copies of the flyers.

Come along on Saturday to Ferndene Park, between 12-4pm we'll be hosting Ryton Summer Fayre 2026.

We've got a fun dog show, starts at 1.30pm where the swimming pool used to be.

We've got 27 very generous prizes for our raffle. Tickets can be bought on the day and in advance - https://christmas-for-ryton.sumupstore.com/product/summer-fayre-2026-raffle-ticket-1

We've got inflatables.

We've got alpacas.

Last year we asked the children what they wanted to see in Ryton, the second top answer was a mini/crazy golf set. We approached Ryton Mens Shed who have made the most amazing 9 piece set. It's only right that we debut it at this years fayre.

We have a range of fundraising stalls, including a bottle tombola. We can't share a pic of the bottles as we get put in Facebook jail but check out our previous posts...

We've got food and drink and lots of stalls from our lovely local charities and businesses. We've got some lovely local singers so please do bring a blanket to sit on so you can sit back and enjoy the show.

Last year was such a lovely day, we hope this year will be even better.

Many thanks to The Cross for their generous contributions to the bottle tombola at Ryton Summer Fayre 2026 🙏🏻 tickets will be 3 for £1. We’ve got some awesome bottles like these, we’ve also got bottles of water and shower gel 🤷‍♀️ which will you win 😄
