These are only minor things that no one else noticed but something I will work on with my next funeral ceremony.

I am still super proud of how it went.

I took my time in my delivery which is something I am not used to as a children's entertainer.

I spoke authentically and emphatically so the family knew I was with them.

Everything went to plan the way they wanted it to.

So I will do exactly the same at my next ceremony but with added details on my part.

I am now a qualified funeral celebrant so if you need me to host a celebration of life, cremation or burial, I am happy to hold your hand through it all.

I send every couple that books with me a questionnaire so I can get to know them better so I thought it was only fair that I answered those questions too!

That way, you get to know me and my hubby too!

I'm kick-starting with how long we have known each other and where we met.

Now, I'm pretty useless at remembering dates so I think it was about 22 years ago (even though the post says 20!)that we met when the lift doors opened at Virgin Megastores in Romford (r.i.p) as arrived for a job interview.

This handsome man with side burns and an earring greeted me and let me tell you, it was love at sight on my part!

I was, however, about to marry someone else which my now husband did attend!

It's complicated and after a whirlwind of a life changing story (one I'll tell you another time), we got together and married in 2015!

We renewed our vows on our tenth wedding anniversary and have overcome so much that nothing will keep us apart!

Introducing my Levels of Vibe!🤣

Now, I know that anyone who enquires or books me do that because they love my vibrancy and that won't be changing!

But I also know that people don't always want a full on, energetic, wild and wacky ceremony but still want my as their celebrant.

So, introducing my three levels of vibe - Chill, Electric, Energetic.

By picking your preference, I can then tailor the way I deliver your ceremony to match your vibes, rather than you matching mine.

So if you still want my colourful persona but tone the ceremony down, pick the chill vibes.

If you want wild, wacky, the whole shebang, do whatever you want vibes, the energetic vibe is for you.

And if you want a bit of both, with some added spark and fun, electric vibes are your choice.

I've been a qualified wedding celebrant for a year now and have just passed my funeral celebrancy too!

With two weddings booked in for the Autumn and one funeral under my belt, I don't have any social proof of my work, YET!

But, don't let that put you off - I have 13 years in business plus a new and fresh celebrant means:

🫶my training is fresh so when I apply it, you're getting absolutely everything I learned
🫶your script will be from scratch, no copy and paste, no AI and brand new and shiny
🫶I am not tired or exhausted of doing back to back ceremonies!
🫶I have the passion and excitement to get going so this will reflect in your ceremony

No shade to the more experienced celebrants at all!

But there is something about a newly, fresh out of the box, unwrapped celebrant that hits differently to the ones that are an old hat at this.

I actually cannot wait to show off my couples to you after the Summer, and they booked me because they love my vibe, my non judgmental outlook and I ticked all their boxes.

These are all highly unlikely BUT I'm jumping on a trend that I find interesting for a change!

See, I don't like following the crowd and prefer to be unconventional, but sometimes, a social media trend creeps in and I do it my way.

With not many weddings under my belt, thank goodness none of these have happened to me yet BUT some of them have in my party business that I've owned for 13 years.

Can you guess which ones?

And just remember, it sounds like a good idea to get a family member or friend to do your wedding ceremony so you save money BUT it's a disaster waiting to happen and you don't get a second chance to do it again, (unless you're me and you get married again!).

Maybe it's the ADHD in me, maybe I hate the fact that I've been made to feel like the way I look is wrong.

BUT - I am a rebel and always have been.

When it comes to my business, I do things my way without anyone telling me what to do, so that I can give my couples the same freedom to do what they want for their wedding ceremony.

I will support your rebellious ways, guide you into doing things in an unconventional way and always make sure it's your stamp on things and not what society has told you to do.

Say goodbye to Pinterest boards, out dated and boring words, and beige weddings and say hello to weddings, your way, no matter what!

The only thing I won't do (steady!) is a ceremony with spiders 🤣

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I AM A PROUD ALLY AND SUPPORTER OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY INCLUDING TRANS PEOPLE!

Not just in June when companies and businesses use it as a marketing strategy (you won't find me only talking about Pride in June but ALL year round).

I am a bi-sexual, Cis=identifying woman, married to a heterosexual Cis-identifying man, with two boys who I have brought up to support the same communities as me.

I support Queer-owned businesses by purchasing from them, sharing how brilliant they are and letting them know I have their back.

I continue to call out homophobic language and behaviour towards my q***r friends and will discard any followers that are transphobic.

I will support Not a Phase and similar charities where possible.

I will also NOT be hosting any Harry Potter themed weddings/funerals from this point forward.

But most of all, I create a safe space for those who feel threatened, scared or worried about showing their real selves.

I have never felt unsafe in a space full of people that identify as trans.

In fact, I have actually felt the most safe I have ever felt, the most ME I have ever been and in return, the least I can do is try to spread love not hate on behalf of a community that STILL need months like Pride month.

Once your legal marriage is complete, you can have your wedding ceremony anywhere!

You don't need a license to have a celebrant ceremony so the choices of where to host it are endless.

For example, my husband and I renewed our wedding vows last year in our local forest with a Mary Poppins themed celebrant!

All we did to secure it was let the council know that we would be having 20 people in a secluded spot.

No one bothered us and it went swimmingly!

If we did get married in the place where we first met, it would be in a closed down Virgin Megastores shop (recently a closed down SuperDry branch!).🤣

Since starting my celebrant business in 2025, I have been fortunate enough to have had quite a few enquiries from wedding directories.

These work similar to others but of course, is focused on the wedding industry and couples find me and other suppliers by typing into the their search engine for the service or supplier they are looking for.

I won't ever pay for directories that i am not unaligned with, so you can find me on:

- focusing on the LGBTQ+ community
- have received most of my enquiries from here
- free version only but I like their spreadsheet!
- free version
