🎃 From spooky shenanigans and local pub nights, to community events, walks and plenty of reasons to get out and about, there’s more going on around our little corner than you might think.

The Earlswood Jumble Trail is back for it's LAST TRAIL OF 2026. A chance to grab a bargain, meet your neighbours and get the kids off the screens.

📍 BBC Make a Difference Awards Surrey & Sussex

I won the environmental category!! 🎊🫶 Absolutely stoked, but as I frequently say - Eco Earlswood would be nothing about the wonderful community that show up to support it, my events, and my mad ideas.

In 2023, Eco Earlswood started with a pretty simple idea: 👉 that sustainability is more fun, more achievable and more powerful when we do things together as a collective.

💚 And somehow, that little idea has grown into something that’s reached far beyond what I ever imagined. So I am completely gobsmacked, incredibly grateful, and very proud to have been recognised by the BBC. 🫶 AND A HUGE THANKS to whomever nominated me (the BBC won’t tell because of GDPR...)

And yes… I’m still going to call myself an award-winning environmentalist for at least the next five minutes! 🏆

Earlswood isn’t just a postcode. We’re a community. A little scrappy, a little disjointed, but very much one. 💚 And earlier this week, we got a pretty big reminder of what happens when a community speaks up.

📢 Three new parish councils are being created for Reigate, Redhill and Banstead. And crucially, NOT THE ONE THAT PROPOSED TEARING EARLSWOOD IN HALF. Because we spoke up and we said no!

We still don’t know whether Earlswood will be included in the new Redhill Town Parish, but whatever happens next, this is worth celebrating.

We made our voices heard. We stood up for our little corner of the world. And Earlswood stayed whole. So whether you live in Upper Earlswood, Earlswood Main, Royal Earlswood or South Earlswood - you're in the club 💚🎊

I fundamentally believe that 👉 anything we can do to get kids off screens, outside, learning practical skills and being part of their community, we should.

That’s why I’m asking for your help.

I’m a trustee and Head of Fundraising for Earlswood 2nd Reigate Scout Group, which was founded way back in 1908! Our current HQ has barely been updated since the 1930s and is simply no longer fit for purpose.

We’re now seeking planning permission for a brand-new Scout HQ and alongside this, we’re also planning to redevelop the neighbouring Art Matters building creating facilities that can benefit the wider community too.

Second place in a fashion show. First place in unsolicited male opinions.

I’m not entirely sure how in 2026 people still think it’s ok to comment on other people’s weight. Because honestly, what if I’d just lost a baby? Or couldn’t conceive? Or was recovering from an eating disorder?

👉 You just never know what someone is carrying, and you definitely don’t know their story from looking at their body.

Me?? I'm just firmly in Team 🥑 & 🪼

And thank you to all the lovely contestants and judges for making me feel very fabulous indeed. You gave my body confidence a rather lovely boost 🫶💪

Redhill Arts Takeover is back. So much good stuff happening.

My personal favourites?
The recycled fashion show in The Belfry on Wednesday evening (I'm entering!) Redhill Belfry

The local authors event at Redhill Library on Thursday evening Redhill Library

And all.the Redstart Community live music events! Redstart Community CIO

Friends of Ifold Road Park have launched a monthly park Maintenance session. First Sunday of every month at 9am. Everyone is welcome.

It's the annual Quality Street fair. Lovely local stalls mixed with a bit of Merstham heritage.

Our local soundbath - Rewild Sound & Yoga will be at St John's Church THIS EVENING.

A monthly excuse to play board games! Located at the Mountain Warriors Centre opposite McDonald's in South Earlswood.

Did somebody say FREE children's choir? Hosted by Franklin Music and held at St John’s Church, Redhill. Every Tuesday for 6 weeks.

This is such a lovely intiative to spend time as a family, or turn up by yourself to play games with other local people (all children must be accompanied by a parent/ carer).

It runs every Saturday at Carrington School and it's completely free!

I love a clothes swap. And this is the annual Reigate Baptist Church swish. Bring clothes to swap, or donate in advance. See you there?

The monthly Earlswood Farmers Market is held at the Sea Cadets HQ on Hooley Lane, 10am-1.30pm. It's a lovely chance to support your local makers, growers, farmers. Plus I run it!

The Earlswood Jumble Trail is back this month. A chance to clear your clutter and grab a bargain.

🎶 JAZZ ON THE GREEN ~ Polesden Lacey | 2–4pm

Because nothing says “Bank Holiday” quite like pretending you’re the sort of person who casually listens to jazz on a lawn. Free for NT members.

🌽 MAIZE MAZE, BBQ & SUNFLOWER PICKING ~ St Joans Farm, Leigh | 10.30am–4.30pm

Get gloriously lost in a maize maze, eat something from the BBQ, visit the farm animals, pick yourself some sunshine (sunflowers) to take home, support their farm shop.

🎪 PEASLAKE VILLAGE FAIR ~ Surrey Hills | 1–4pm

Whimsical because surely every British summer needs at least one village green and an unnecessarily competitive homemade game.

🫏 DONKEY DERBY ~ Godstone | 10.30am–5pm

Watching donkeys race is exactly the sort of gloriously British and wonderfully bonkers tradition we should be keeping alive.

A reminder that Bank Holiday Monday doesn't need to be productive.

And the forecast? 100% chance of doing something delightfully unnecessary ✨
