This week is , which is a great opportunity to join in and celebrate the great work of volunteers at our club, who are unsung heroes and vital to keep our club running.

Poppy started off her rugby journey with Abbey Girls, but more recently has discovered a love for refereeing and has become a talented and dedicated Young Match Official (YMO), hoping that being the person in the middle would help improved her own rugby. Since then, she has reffed at the Abbey Shield Minis tournament, as well as several U14 games at both our club and other local ones, and has aspirations to get to the top of her game and ref an international at Twickenham! We wouldn’t have a game without referees and are proud to have such a brilliant volunteer in our Junior section. Well done Poppy! 👏
