The Quainton PC Bonfire & Firework Committee would like to thank all those who came to the Village Green to enjoy the bonfire and firework display, we hope you enjoyed yourselves and agree that Illusion Fireworks provided yet again a spectacular village display.
This is one of the main village events of the year and gives a great opportunity for the community to come together, it is also a forum for the PTA, Sports Club, and this year the Netball team, to raise precious funds for the forthcoming year.
If there are any other local groups or organisations who would want to run a stall, please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to consider how we can accommodate you.
We would like to sincerely thank all of the residents of the Green, especially those who kindly give us power, James and Susie Christopherson for the generous use of their garden for the fireworks, the Village Shop for their huge support in selling advance wristbands (and also the Coffee Shop), the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre for opening their car park on the night, and of course the George & Dragon. We would also mention our partners Class Act who provide the lighting and music systems together with our DJ Phil Gomm, and North End Rd Nursery who provide the pallets for the fire year after year.
We also had a fabulous team of volunteer helpers on the night - Chris Huggy, Malcolm and Jane Vowles, Beth and Richard Vining, Clare, Ben and Emily Bragg (and friends), Martin and Diane Curtis Knight, Heidi Dickman, Louisa and Matthew Richards, Martin and Barbara Dorrell and Max Green (and friends), all of whom worked extremely hard to try and keep everyone safe and to ensure an enjoyable evening for everyone.
The Fireworks Committee. Ian Hammond, Pete Bragg, Tim Massa, Steve Green and Warren Richards .

Bonfire night is fast approaching

It is the last week to purchase tickets in advance at a discounted rate of £8, from the Village shop - please support the shop whilst buying your tickets.

Entry on the night is £10, cash and cards are accepted.

We have been asked by our First Aid providers that Sparklers should not be brought to the event, due to the space required to use them safely.
Please enjoy your sparklers pre or post the event at home.

We look forward to seeing you on the 8th

Looking forward to seeing you all on the 8th
Please buy your wristband from the village shop beforehand if at all possible, it really helps us on the night.

We hope you are looking forward to joining us on the 8th of November for this year’s display from the award-winning Illusion Fireworks

Village groups are supporting the event with the PTA will running their popular outside bar, and the Sports club will be running their BBQ.

In addition to these we have our excellent Fish & Chips, OMG Street Food and Loraso ice cream.

Please buy you wrist bands prior to the event, they are on sale in the Village shop in Church Street – please support the shop whilst you are there.

After holding the entry fee for the last five years, we have been forced to increase the entry fee, however we believe this is a highlight of the village year and you will still be able to continue to support it.

The pre-purchase entry cost is £8 per person with children under 5 years old being free.

Entry on the night is £10 per person.

We are conscious that many animals find fireworks frightening and the committee members have pets too, we believe that organising a single event for the whole village to support, lessens the chance of having numerous displays, at random times throughout the weekend.

To help you make necessary arrangements to look after your animals, our approximate timings are:

6pm Gates open
7pm The Bonfire will be lit
7.20pm As the fire dies down the display will start

The display lasts 12 minutes and does not include fireworks whose sole aim is to make a noise.

Further information can be found on the RSPCA site How To Keep Your Pets Safe During Fireworks | RSPCA - RSPCA - rspca.org.uk

We would remind everyone that there is no dedicated parking, it is mainly a village event however it does attract support from a wider area. We would ask everyone to be considerate whilst parking, please do not park across driveways and access routes and bear in mind it is likely to be busy, especially with Station Road being closed to through traffic, arrive early and enjoy the night.

We hope you are looking forward to joining us for this year’s display, which should be better than ever with amazing fireworks and additional stall holders.

We are conscious that many animals find fireworks frightening and we have pets too, we believe that organising a single event for the whole village to support lessens the chance of having numerous displays, at random times throughout the weekend.

We want to give you advance notice of our approximate timings so you can make any necessary arrangements to look after your animals, and the RSPCA link below gives additional information.
