Sexy Woke Disco Club is proud to announce that we are partnering with Art & Joy to run the sensory space at our events.
A sensory space is a calm, welcoming environment designed to help people relax, regulate their senses, feel comfortable, unwind, refocus, or take a break from overwhelming surroundings.
Although the space at our last event provided a welcome reprieve for those who needed it, we felt it needed a bit more TLC to make it more welcoming and accommodating.
Art & Joy hosts neurodivergent LGBTQIA+ friendly art workshops in Chorley. The organiser Gemma is one of our care team & we’ve worked with them before at Preston Creative Social. With the care & attention they put into making their spaces a calming and grounding environments, bringing them on board to manage the sensory space felt like a natural next step.
