“The Peony Season”
Every year, there’s a moment I wait for — that brief, breathtaking window when the peonies bloom.
This season, forty of these beauties are growing here on the farm, each one unfolding like a soft secret kept by spring.
Their season is fleeting — mid to end of June — and then they’re gone for another year.
But perhaps that’s what makes them so special: they remind us that beauty doesn’t last forever, and that’s exactly why we should pause to notice it.
When the petals open, the air changes — sweet, full, and alive.
And for a few short weeks, the farm feels like it’s holding its breath in pinks, creams, and blushes.
