I don’t only cater for big events.

There’s something lovely about creating food for a smaller group where every detail can be considered from what’s on the table to how it looks, how easy it is to serve and making sure there’s plenty for everyone.

I cater for all sorts of occasions, from intimate celebrations and private gatherings to photoshoots, filming days, corporate lunches and larger events.

It’s not always about how many people you’re feeding. It’s about getting the food right for the occasion.

So if you have something coming up that’s a little smaller, don’t assume I’m only interested in the big stuff.

A little August wedding I’ve been meaning to share…

The couple chose our signature Grazing Cups as their wedding canapés - a relaxed way to keep guests well fed while they mingled, before the main meal later in the day.

But for me, it’s never just about putting delicious food on a table.

I love thinking about how everything will look within the setting, how the food will be enjoyed by guests and how all those little details come together to create something that feels right for the occasion.

The rustic character of Allington Manor made such a beautiful backdrop for the Grazing Cups, and I was really pleased with how the finished setup came together.

Because when you’re planning a wedding, you want suppliers who have got the details covered so you can concentrate on enjoying the day.

One of the biggest worries people have when they’re hosting is whether everyone will enjoy the food.

You start off planning a simple gathering and before you know it you’re thinking about vegetarians, allergies, fussy eaters, dietary requirements and whether you’ve ordered enough.

I’ve lost count of the number of times clients have said to me:

“I just don’t know what everyone will eat.”

The reality is you’re never going to find one thing that every guest loves.

What people do appreciate is having choice.

Something for the cheese lovers.
Something for the meat lovers.
Something lighter.
Something vegetarian.

When guests can help themselves and build a plate that suits them, everyone relaxes a little more m including the host.

And that’s often what makes an event feel effortless.
