Well done to Torquay United on today’s match 👏⚽💙

It was a very wet one 🌧️, but our team continued to deliver a high standard of care from start to finish.

Throughout the day, we were on site providing full medical cover, with our team positioned around the ground to support both supporters and staff. From minor incidents to being ready for anything more serious, the team remained professional, responsive, and focused throughout.

Days like this really highlight the dedication of our crew , putting people first and ensuring everyone can enjoy the event safely 👏

A huge credit to everyone involved 💙

Turns out getting a treatment centre road ready involves a lot more than just turning the key and hoping for the best! 🚑
There’s been a fair bit of head scratching, tool borrowing, and “that doesn’t look right” moments… but we’re getting there!

We’re excited to share that we have officially purchased an ambulance, which will soon be transformed into a mobile treatment centre 🚑

This vehicle will support community events across Torbay and Devon, helping us provide rapid, accessible care where it’s needed most. It’s a fantastic step forward in strengthening local event safety and community wellbeing.

We are now looking for a secure place to store this valuable community asset. If you are a local business or organisation with suitable space and would be willing to support us, we would love to hear from you.

On International Women’s Day we want to take a moment to celebrate some of the incredible women who help make everything we do at Riviera Event Solutions CIC possible.

Behind every successful team are inspirational people who dedicate their time, skills and passion to supporting their community — and we are incredibly proud to work alongside these amazing women.

🌟 Melody Northey– Our Director who is at the forefront of everything we do. Melody works tirelessly both in the office and behind the scenes, driving the organisation forward and ensuring we continue to support our community.

🌟 Kathy Pocock – With nearly 50 years of service to the community, Kathy brings a wealth of experience, dedication and leadership as one of our Events Team Leads. Her commitment to helping others is truly inspiring.

🌟 Lily Northey– Our Media Lead who works behind the camera capturing our events and helping share our story with the wider community. Her creativity and passion help showcase the work our team does every day.

🌟 Diane Prosser – Director, FREC3 qualified, and a passionate community advocate who works hard to ensure safety and care are always at the heart of what we do.

🌟 Karen Jeffery – A Teaching Assistant, Community First Responder and valued member of our Events Team, Karen embodies the spirit of service and community support.

Today we celebrate these women and the many others who inspire us every day through their dedication, compassion and leadership.

We were delighted to attend the Rotary Conference 26 in Plymouth, where we had the opportunity to meet so many inspiring people who are making a real difference in our communities.

One of the highlights of the event was meeting Ann Ralli, life president and founder of Devon Air Ambulance. It was a true honour to listen to her inspirational story and hear first-hand how the charity was created and has grown to become such a vital lifesaving service for our region.

Hearing about the passion, dedication and determination behind such an incredible organisation was genuinely motivating for all of us.

Events like this are a fantastic reminder of the power of partnership and community spirit. We look forward to building new relationships and hopefully working together in the future for the benefit of both our organisations and the communities we all serve.

A big thank you to everyone involved in organising such a fantastic conference.

We are beyond proud to share that our Director, Paul, has been awarded Emergency Worker of the Year at the Torbay Community Champion Awards 2025 🏆

This recognition could not be more deserved. Paul works tirelessly, often behind the scenes, putting the safety, wellbeing, and care of others before anything else. His dedication to the Torbay community goes far beyond a job title – it’s a vocation. Day in, day out, he shows up with unwavering commitment, compassion, and professionalism, no matter how challenging the situation.

From leading RES with integrity and purpose to supporting events, emergencies, and the wider community, Paul gives everything he has. The long hours, the responsibility, the pressure – he carries it all so that others can feel safe and supported. His passion for helping people and making a real difference is at the heart of everything RES stands for.

This award is a true reflection of the impact Paul has on our community and on everyone who has the privilege of working alongside him. We couldn’t be prouder to call him our Director, leader, and inspiration.
