Meet the Crew ~ Eli

Ship's Purser

Eli is a strange and unique individual, found by Maui on a distant island atop a hoard of treasures. These treasures were told to have been collected on voyages and explorations around the globe, some were true treasures of gold and gemstones, others were more the sentimental types of treasures and others still were more akin to junk; shells, coins, jewels, fabrics, plants, bones and more...

Quick with their hands and perhaps the most likely to get into trouble, Eli is often referred to as the ship's magpie, nothing be as alluring as a bit o' shine. Given their natural proclivity towards treasure, Mad Captain Maui gave Eli the job of Purser aboard the Sea Wolf, counting and collecting all manner of goodies plundered or freely surrendered.

Eli loves to trade, sometimes fairly, sometimes at the point of a gun or blade. Let's hope you're lucky enough to have something she wants and is willing to barter for...

Meet the Crew - Sean Andrews

Gunner

Scraped off the rocks somewhere along the north coast, Sean had a promising army career ahead of him following his apprenticeship as a gunsmith. But when he noticed a clerical error that would get him out, he was over the green hill and far away faster than you could say ‘fix bayonets'!

Yearning for freedom and having grown up on the coast, sailing to the far horizon seemed far more appealing than a life of volley fire and marching endlessly in formation. By chance, Andrews found the Sea Wolf in need of a gunner and leapt at the opportunity to see what was out there.

With a thorough knowledge of applications of black powder, Sean serves to keep every gun aboard the Sea Wolf firing, from the smallest pistol to the long nines at the bow. Naturally, he prefers applying hot lead instead of cold steel in a fight, though if he really does want to get his mitts on a proper sword, he’ll just let his opponent bring one right to him.

He learned several lessons in seafaring rapidly such as ducking under the boone arm when the wind changes and looked to better himself during his time on the deck, from climbing ropes to swimming in the ocean. Figuring he’d need to learn some Dutch to help better acquire supplies, he picked up a book to learn a bit of the language - unfortunately, he didn’t realise it was actually a book of Deutsch until he was already fluent…

At some point, he really wants to see a kraken, and find out how big a cannonball it takes to turn it into calamari.

Come and find Andrews for all things that go BOOM!

Worth a read me hearties! If ye can in fact read, that is... most of our crew can't. 😂 ☠️

Since the early 18th century, one symbol has spelled terror for sailors the world over like no other. Although it most commonly depicts a white skull and crossbones set against a simple black backdrop, the Jolly Roger pirate flag has actually undergone countless changes over the centuries — and often didn't even feature a skull at all.

Some featured daggers and swords while Blackbeard's version depicted a skeleton-like creature stabbing a heart with a spear. But surely the most feared variety was the infamous red Jolly Roger, which meant certain doom — because it indicated that the pirates flying it intended to take no prisoners.
