🪂 Discover Oxfordshire’s connections to Arnhem

Join Ingram Murray at the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum for a special talk accompanying its Arnhem 82nd Anniversary exhibition.

Focusing on the airborne side of Operation Market Garden, Ingram will explore the role of the British 1st Airborne Division and the men behind the history — including VC winner John Grayburn and Major Digby Tatham-Warter.

Although the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry didn’t go to Arnhem, many officers and men serving there had come from the regiment.
🎙️ A former Royal Engineers officer and longstanding museum researcher, Ingram is affectionately known as ‘The Colonel’ to listeners of We Have Ways of Making You Talk, the podcast co-hosted by his son, Al Murray.

🤝 Business associations have a long history, from merchants’ guilds to chambers of commerce, built around a simple idea: businesses can achieve more when they work together.

Today, local associations can help business owners meet their neighbours, share knowledge and come together.

Running a business can be a solitary experience. Having people nearby who understand the challenges, who might offer advice, a referral or a fresh perspective can make a difference.

🏘️ Here in Woodstock, connection is what Wake Up to Woodstock is about: bringing local businesses together and helping our town thrive.

Say hello, come along to an event, share an idea, you never know what a conversation might lead to.
