What a wonderful day we had! Congratulations Orpington MayQueen Charley and her Retinue for some fantastic traditional dancing and lots of money was raised for local charities. See you all next year on Saturday May 1st 2027!

One week to go and we had our final dance rehearsal today. The children are ready to show off our collection of traditional dances at the Orpington May fair next week
We still have space in the parade if your community group wishes to join us.

It was a brilliant day last year and loads of money was raised for community charities. Come along and support Queen Charley be crowned the 77th Orpington MayQueen . Parade starts at 12.30 and the traditional crowing ceremony starts at 1pm in the Priory Gardens.

We are looking for children who are free on Wed 8th, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th April to join our seasonal community dance group to learn our traditional dances in time ready for the crowning of this year's Orpington MayQueen and May Fair. We are rehearsing between 10am and 3pm on Wed and Friday with a photoshoot on Thursday morning. Children aged 6 plus can be left at rehearsals as our qualified teacher has full DBS and first aid- Email [email protected] for more information. Subs are £35 for the year with £20 for any extra siblings. The cheapest holiday club around!

Yesterday we had our final run through of the event with our dancers. They all worked really hard and I am so proud of all of the children. We even had Petts Wood May Queen join us to learn a couple of dances and learn our flower presentation.
It is going to be a wonderful event and we hope to see you there.
