📢 OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Effective immediately, Pop > Alt will no longer be partnering with NG‑ONE as a venue.
Following how our owner, crew, and customers were treated last night, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our planned Pride event at this location. This is something we are deeply saddened by, as it meant a great deal to us.
We also want to issue a warning to any promoter who may be approached by this venue, as we were: we advise you to avoid working with them. None of the agreed terms were met, and several serious issues arose:
• We were moved from the main room to a smaller area solely based on pre‑sales figures. While attendance was lower than our previous event, we still considered the night a success thanks to those who attended.
• Before the event, the venue provided zero promotion or visibility — a basic requirement of any partnership, which benefits both parties. We asked multiple times for them to share the event and were ignored.
• The room downgrade happened on the night itself, leaving disabled customers struggling with stairs and with no toilet facilities in that area.
• Our advertised VIP packages were not honoured, so we were unable to sell them as promised.
• Our owner was publicly humiliated by the venue’s manager in front of customers — an extremely unprofessional act that should have been discussed privately.
• We also discovered that “last entry” does not mean what it states: the venue continues to take ticket money after this time, keeping the revenue without it benefiting our charity cause.
These are only some of the issues we faced. We will not share further details, but we are ending all ties completely.
To everyone who supported us last night: thank you. Your understanding and kindness meant everything. We are so proud of our team — we are solid, determined, and here to stay.
We are returning to Bootleggers and are already organising our next event. Watch this space for updates! We look forward to building a long, positive partnership with a venue that values us, our community, and our work.
