As Principal of PQA Nottingham, one of my favourite things to do at the end of every year is simply stop… and reflect.
It’s so easy to get caught up in classes, rehearsals, performances and the excitement of each week that we sometimes forget just how much can change in a year.
This week, our team has spent hours writing every student’s report. Every single one is written individually because every child matters to us. As we reflected on each student’s journey, we found ourselves smiling at how much they’ve grown.
Of course we’ve seen stronger actors, singers and filmmakers. We’ve watched confidence blossom, skills develop and dreams begin to take shape.
But what makes me proudest isn’t the performances.
It’s seeing shy children find their voice. It’s watching friendships form across year groups. It’s seeing students encourage one another, celebrate each other’s achievements and pick each other up when things don’t quite go to plan.
That’s what PQA Nottingham is all about.
We’re building a community where young people feel seen, supported and inspired to become the very best version of themselves.
There were some outstanding individual achievements this year, and we’d love to celebrate our award winners…
🏆 Role Model Award – Megan
😂 Comedy & Drama – Analise
🎭 Musical Theatre – Grace
🎬 Film & TV – Aleena
⭐ Vice Principal’s Award – Ernie
🌟 Principal’s Award – Charlotte
To every single one of our students… thank you.
Thank you for making us laugh, making us proud, working hard, supporting one another and reminding us every week why we do what we do.
From myself and the entire PQA Nottingham team, congratulations on an amazing year. We hope you have a wonderful summer, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for another year of creativity, friendship and unforgettable memories.
Keep believing in yourselves. The best is still to come. 💙
