Because the end of summer also means the end of another little chapter you don’t get to rewrite. Hudson's going into year 6 this year! 😭

Next summer, they’ll be older. Bigger. A little more independent.

I love couples shoots that feel more like time together than a photoshoot. Walking, chatting and those little moments in between. And that’s always how it is when I’m capturing Ruth & David. 😍😍

Why I meet your child where they are on every photoshoot. 🤍

I truly believe the best way to get the best out of them is to allow them to show their true selves, in their own time. I let the adventure unfold how they want it to, and out of that, a relationship builds.

Here’s Hattie, with a few clips of her playful nature from her last shoot with me. I’ve lost count of how many shoots we’ve done (I always love seeing her!).

She hasn’t always been super confident with me, but our relationship has formed over time and now she’s my bestie! 😂

She has, however, always been amazing in front of the camera. 🌻🌷🌿💕

I’ll encourage you to do what you usually do play, cuddle, tickle, run around while I bring out all those little in-between family details that happen when you forget there’s a camera there.

Will it be fun? You can tell the little people before their shoot that it definitely will be. 😍

Nobody really fully warns you about this bit of motherhood. That one day out of the blue you look at them and realise they’re not your tiny baby anymore.

They have opinions.
Favourite things.
Little jokes you didn’t teach them.
A personality that seems to get bigger by the week.

And somehow, while you’ve been busy obsessing over food choices, cleaning dirty knee's, monitoring screen time and answering approximately 47 questions before 9am…

they’ve grown.

So yes, photograph the birthdays. Photograph the messy faces, the missing teeth, the ridiculous outfits and the little details you think you’ll never forget.

Because you probably will.

Not because the photos need to be perfect.

Because they won’t be this little again. 🤍
