I often get asked why I don’t work with multiple businesses offering the same kind of service when it comes to photographing classes or running pop up photography sessions within the Nottingham baby toddler sector.

The truth is, for the past 7 years I’ve built up a small circle of incredible Nottingham business owners. These are the people who support me, trust me with their brands, recommended me, and continue to champion my work. They are my community.

Because of that, I choose to give that loyalty back.

I believe every brand deserves to stand out in its own way — not blend into a sea of sameness. If I worked with lots of similar businesses, (in particular the baby class sector) the imagery would start to feel the same… and that doesn’t serve anyone.

By working exclusively within each space, I can create something more personal, more distinctive, and truly elevate each brand.

So if I’ve said no recently, please know it comes from a place of respect for the people I already work with, and for keeping each brand unique.
And to those I do work with… you already know how much I value you. 🌱

There’s never really a wrong time to book a family shoot. ✨
Sometimes it’s to mark a big moment, Mother’s Day, heading back to work after maternity leave, or welcoming a new addition as your family grows from three to four. Other times, it’s simply about pressing pause and capturing this chapter as it is right now.

Whatever the reason, your photos will always be unique to you and that’s what makes them so special. 🤍

Little Wild Playclub — a modest little outdoor space, but filled with something much bigger. A local collection of mamas, sharing the load, the laughs, and those everyday moments while their wild little ones run free in the fresh air.

Leonie has created something really special here. The kind of space that feels easy, honest, and full of life.

I was lucky enough to come along last week to capture a bit of that magic, including some relaxed mini shoots of families (like this one) just being themselves, playing and connecting in their own time.

The last time I photographed Clodagh, she was a tiny baby. This time she was smiling, curious, and playful with me like we’ve known each other for ages!
Those are the moments that I love about this job.

From first ideas to full-on cake chaos 🍰✨ I build every cake smash around what your little one loves most whether that’s colours, characters, or their favourite toys.

Some babies dive straight into the cake… others are here for the toys instead 😂 but every session captures those perfectly joy-filled moments you’ll want to remember forever. 🤍

How to pose naturally with your kids (without the chaos). The secret? Don’t “pose” them give them purpose.

✨ Give each child a little job or instruction so they feel important.

✨ Position mum first, then let the children join in when they feel comfortable.

✨ Use gentle distraction tactics — small toys, little challenges, or simple tasks.

✨ Turn it into a game:
– Who can stand the tallest?
– Who’s taller than mummy if they stand on their tiptoes?
– Who can share the biggest hug the fastest?
– Who can pull the silliest face?

And shoot fast. Stay calm. Be decisive. You don’t have time to wait for perfection, the magic is usually in the in-between moments.

This image was mostly older children (which definitely helps!) but there was still a cheeky three-year-old front and centre who needed keeping engaged. 😉

Natural always wins for me. Whatever the faces and the result it's true to them! 🤍

It’s crazy how much I love capturing these little sessions with you and your little one. Mostly because I’m always so chuffed with the sweet little moments we get and you’re usually surprised I managed to catch any photos at all.

The convenience is honestly unmatched. I come to you, you carry on enjoying your class, and you leave with beautiful photos of this stage with your little one. 📸🤍
